Staff are very good. I was signing up to join the libary. Some crazy Indian woman was shouting outside the libary. The staff asked her to take it down a notch. Then the lady (Indian) started calling the African staff member a racist and screaming at the top of her head that she has a right to talk. I thought the indian lady was possessed by the devil the way she was screaming and calling everyone a racist. But the libary staff kept their cool. she called in her whole family and all of them started calling the staff member a racist, even though they were not there at the time. Even the other people who were using the libary told the woman to keep it down, which just enraged her more. But the staff kept calm and were able to do their work even with a lunatic screaming insults. Well done staff.

Very efficient staff. Amazingly vast range of books including many Zulu and Afrikaans authors. Well lit and air conditioned. Several computers to work on. Air conditioning and free wifi.
There's also a huge junior readers section in an adjoining room for kids and parents alike. The library offers cds and dvds.response / report this review -

Love this library. Great atmosphere, great isiZulu collection, and they really take pride in placing the isiZulu books upfront, which in KwaZulu is exactly the right direction.
Pity the library is closed due to the storm flooding it. Hope it will be open soon!response / report this review
