Absolutely stunning. A few hikes to choose from which start directly from the campsite. A few waterfalls to see. I would go back in a second.

Great and well maintained hiking trails. The estimated durations of the routes are generous. Be well prepared for weather changes up high, and make use of the water streams as a drinking water source.

A wonderful wild place, ideal for the hiker who wants beauty and challenges, nicely wrapped up for the soulful meditator. Awesome place!

Most beautiful part of the Drakensberg mountain range. We did a 2 hour walk to the Sterkspruit falls and it was amazing. The views are breathtaking and the majesty of the mountains are magical. The security guards at the entrance was friendly and helped us to decide which hiking route we should take.

I went hiking here with 2 close friends. We picked a cloudy day with a bit of rain the previous day. Please be careful when hiking this reserve if there has been recent rains: there are a lot of downhills and uphills with narrow steps here and there, covered in layers of mud, making it very slippery.

We hiked to the Sterkfontein Falls, all the way through to Nandi Falls (approx 3hr). We are disappointed we didn't get to hike the Forest. Be aware that when it's rained the river/stream can get dangerously high. It's been kept in almost pristine condition (the occasional sole of a tekkie & slop here and there). We must keep it this way. It offers beautiful scenery not worth missing. We will definitely go back and wish we had better weather so that we could've hiked more!!

Road leading to the reserve is in terrible condition; you are warned!

Paved road to entrance, well marked trails, some trails need to be trimmed or burned

Nice park. Confusing office but KZN will let you camp wherever on the trail.

Excellent nature reserve. Hiking facilities are in good condition. Well worth the small entrance fee of R40 (Jan 2016)
