An institution on the N2 and an obligatory stop. Apart from the usual amenities of a good petrol station (including Seattle coffee), the trout filled lake supplies the shop with variously prepared fish deli items, with all the usual farm stall jams, sweets, biltong and baked goods. Beautiful views from the restaurant perched on the lake are complemented by tasty meals.

Best trout pies. A bit pricey but worth the drive and money. Tried the trout burger at the express store on a recent trip and was so disappointed. There was hardly any trout between a very low quality bun. The price suggested that I would be getting a gourmet burger. It is however still something to look forward to on a road trip as the facilities which have recently been upgraded, provide a more than pleasant stop to refresh.

Between Johannesburg and Nelspruita favourite with travellers. Great food..speciality trout. Restaurant built on stilts in dam which is stocked with troutwatch them swimming around while eating. Beautifully appointed and immaculate restrooms.

A very nice shop where you can find a variety of home made Jam's, pies and pastries, with heir main attraction being locally farmed trout. You will find frozen trout, trout pies and pancakes, and even terrines and spreads.

Milly's is a great stop enroute to Kruger or returning to Pretoria. Fantastic location with majestic views over the highlands and carp the size of dolphins. Great place to try the Milly's Trout Plate. Home made soups not too bad either.
