On the day of my visit to this Education District Office I reported to the Director's PA. She quickly ascertained where I needed to be and telephonically called that Department to say that their guest has arrived and would they kindly meet me in her office.

I appreciated the effort she made to speedily get me to my destination. In the Specialised Educational Services section I was greeted with more friendly faces who heartily welcomed me. Big was my surprise when I was offered a cup of Coffee before my meeting started. The meeting it self was a pleasurable one.

Dealing with a Multifunctional Team that is both knowledgeable and excited about their work is always a pleasure. Every member of staff contributed or engaged otherwise with the topic we discussed. I left with a feeling that this team works hard amidst the myriad of challenges that test their resolve on a daily basis.

Although the area that this District serves is more than 70% made up of sub-economic areas the staff spoke about their schools and learners with an unprecedented passion. My sense was that the toughest areas attracts the most capacitated and resourceful personnel.

If I had to nit-pick I could complain about the parking area for visitors, which is mainly on grass. But my overall experience of this District is such a positive one that prevents me from dwelling on the negatives.
