Stayed in the Route 66 room (shared outdoor bathroom). I don't mind rustic style accommodation, but the room was really dingy and the linen rather threadbare. The staff were aloof and not particularly helpful. I've stayed in quite a few backpackers throughout SA and I'd say thus was my least favourite.

I come here at least once a year and I love it! It is super creative - and hidden down a secret garden path is the secret yoga room full of beautiful glass - a must! The bar is dangerous. I'll be back!

More suited to teenagers and young adults. Bar on site and offers yoga and surfing lessons. How awesome is that? 8 sleepers from R940, not too bad. Great views, food okay.

One of my favourite backpackers in South Africa! Make sure you to stay in the glass tree house it is an amazing experience. The backpackers also has daily yoga classes onsite at their studio, surrounded by the forest and a communal dinner.

Lost my wallet there. Phoned and gave them my name and that they could identify my wallet by the name on my drivers license. Told me they had my wallet and I sent a courier there to pick it up. Received the wallet and it isn't mine. They didnt even bother to open the wallet to identify.

Phoned and spoke to Liz. Told her about receiving the wrong wallet and asked me to send it back. Told her to send a courier and that I would not send it and incur another expense and replied that she was not going to deal with this situation and hung up on me. I phoned back and asked for the owner of Mantis and Moons phone number and she refused. Very bad customer service and obviously no concern for the real owner of the wallet.
