Our campsite was next to the sewage system which did not seal properly.. After complaining a few times the local crew conveniently forgot to clean out our garbage.. The stench was so obviously intrusive that we decided to leave a day early. The two stars are for the magnificent views, beautiful walks, and lovely river pools to cool down in. Go there only if you can find space far away from the ablution facilities, and able to stay in the good books of the local managers..

Wonderful stay close to the majestic mountains. Breath-taking views. We were very fortunate as there was some snow on the mountains (August). Wonderful place for people who love hiking.

Fantastic views of the Drakensberg but be careful about the roads in the rain. Some places you'll need 4x4.
