Accommodation over looking the river amazing and so special. Excellent cleaning person, kitchen had most things no oven but did not need it braai facilities available. Had fridge, microwave, toaster & kettle

Lower Sabie Rest Camp is a very special place to visit. Game in the area is abundant. Nothing better than a gin and tonic on the restaurant deck overlooking this magnificent river whilst watching the Elephant play in the water.

This is one of the best rest camps in Kruger. The restaurant and shop area are very nice. The standard of accommodation has deteriorated, and sad for such a popular rest camp. The location of this camp, together with the nice restaurant & shop area, contribute towards the popularity of this camp. Based on location, this camp get 5 stars, but the quality of accommodation is 1 or 2 stars. The restaurant & shop area are 5 star for Kruger. There are complaints of bat urine smell in some of the huts, dirty linen (dirty blankets, dirty bed covers), etc. The quality and cleanliness of SANParks Kruger accommodation has declined over time. There are much cleaner accommodation outside of Kruger, or the very expensive private lodges in Kruger.

I was so impressed by the Mug n Bean restaurant that is situated there. It's very modern and has a viewing deck that overlooks the water and terrain . You are able to enjoy your meal and sip your drink as you watch the different animals come and go . I was lucky enough to see a lion visit . Great place for photos !

Lower Sabie Rest Camp has always been a popular and one of our favourite Rest Camps in the many years we have visited Kruger. The upgrades made are wonderful. A beautifully designed main deck definitely adds character to this camp. Meals or drinks can be enjoyed overlooking the river and taking in the beauty around you. Well stocked convenience store and restaurant available. Chalets available vary depending on your accommodation requirements. Various activities offered by the camp itself ranging from game drives, bush walks and night drives.

Beautiful set camp. Bungalows are cute and well maintained. Unfortunately, shared showers didn't provide warm water, which was difficult on a cold November morning at 6 degrees Celsius. Shop has basic necessities and souvenirs. Would be nice if the restaurant would allow non-patrons to enjoy the view as well - at least at the entrance. But the camp has a nice view of the river and many animals can be watched over the day.

My favourite camp in the Kruger. Best advice would be not to take a hut even if the rates are great. The extra money spent makes the experience a 100 X better

We visited Lower Sabie twice during our stay at Kruger in June. We didn't stay there, only stopped by for lunch. It was busy on both occasions but the service was still efficient and the food good. Great view overlooking the river. The atmosphere was busy, so not really a true bush feel - didn't like the fact they had TVs on throughout the restaurant. If you're looking for a decent lunch break it's a good option. It's location is perfect for good game viewing.

Lower Sabie is the best rest camp in my opinion. The restaurant overlooks the Sabie river. Once seated u can always see wild life at the river. Mugg &Bean are the preferred restaurant here. Service is slow as its very busy here. There is a large convenient store here. Selling everything from souvenirs to groceries alcohol etc. Beautiful books maps and binoculars are sold here too. Has a good resting facility with toilets and a place to just stretch your legs.

The bathroom facilities in this camp are poor and in need of refurbishment. The best part about this camp in the Mugg & Bean restaurant.

Lovely surroundings. Beautiful camp with all amenities. Restaurant , shop with fresh food to self prepare.
Overnight visitors have access to buy lovely selection of wine and other alcohol.
Morning and night drives. Walks on foot with guides. Lots of animals around. Lion,leopard, elephant,all kinds of antelope.
Sit on the deck and see hippos!
Lots of bird life.
Accommodation from camping or tented accommodation. Luxury bungalows with excellent views.
A must visit!

An excellent camp in the Kruger National Park. The viewing deck and restaurant area are a worthwhile place to spend some time for lunch. There are several good drives around the camp and game spotting on the Skukuza - Lower Sabie - Crocodile Bridge road is particularly good. In peak seasons traffic congestion, particularly at predator sightings can be a problem.

Excellent restaurant and facilities on the banks of the Sabie river. The restaurants' deck offers an excellent game spotting opportunity. Wheelchair accessible.

Very clean and tidy facilities. Good spot to camp and have daily drives out. Sabie river and water holes all close by. Good spotting of Crocs in river and hippos. Mini supermarket and coffee shop on site. Camping sites very nice and safe. Ablution areas neat and clean
