A great place to take the kids for an adventure so close to home.

They have shops there that sell food, drinks, ice-creams, gifts. There are also animal experience encounters you can do.

This place is a safe haven to animals and although some may say it's a bit commercialised, at the end of the day they're also a rehabilitation center so you know the animals are being cared for quite well.

Aas really great to see the place so well looked after. The Canteen could be better as there was only one lady at the till on a weekend and was very slow. But beautiful and well looked after. Animals looked well and not malnourished.

Great outing for children and parents.
Cages and animal dens are clean. Animals are fed the correct food. No bad smells.
Picnic baskets are allowed. Tuck shop with good variety if you didn't pack picnic.

Variety of animals and birds very good to keep children wanting to go back.

    Most enjoyable outing

This is really one of the best zoos I have been to. It is small but the animals are well kept after and are in fantastic condition. You can really see the people put there heart and soul into looking after them. It is an awesome place to take you kids for a birthday party or just to hang with friends and family. Great food and quite a bit to do there if you want to get involved with touching the animals or just seeing them really up close. I recommend you see this place because it is a place I enjoy and my kids.

Wow, what an experience. Such a wonderful and intemate zoo. Wide variety of birds and owls. There are large animals you might not expect and is closer than what you might experience at other zoos.
There are multiple opportunities to pet and hold animals or owls.
Food options are limited, but sufficient.
    Cost for entry was average.
Staff was very helpful, friendly and professional.
    Sufficient, easy and safe parking.
The park, including the walk ways and cages were very clean and neat.
The birds and animals (excluding the tiger) didn't appear stressed.
    Perfect event for children.

Lord Pork Zoo has truly gotten much better with the way the animals look and the enclosures are much cleaner. The staff have truly tried to make these animals life better.

Adults and kids loved it. Have been here many times before and they keep getting better and better.
Parrots were not allowed to roam freely when we went because of the recent bird flu going around, so nice to see them taking the required steps to care for their animals.
Great place to interact with the baby animals as well.

A truly hidden gem in the heart of Midrand. Great for kids and families. Cages are super clean and well kept. Wide selection of wild cats, monkeys and birds.guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. My toddler loved it. Only downside? Food was horrible.food and service seriously needs to be revamped.

Now this is a 1 of a kind small zoo, but so many animals and birds to see
For a half day or full day for the family.
Especially feeding time for the lions, tigers and cheetahs that is awesome to be so close to the wild
Very very nice place to visit

Fantastic. What a great place. Having a birthday party at Lory Park was inspired. We didn't have to worry about the children once - they all ran around having a great time. The animals were awesome.
