We had the pleasure of staying for a few days at this wonderful guesthouse near Dundee. Owned by Springbok rugby legend Dirk Froneman and his wife Salomè, the guesthouse is within driving distance from the Anglo-Boer War and Anglo-Zulu War Battlefields, including Rorke's Drift, fugitive's Drift, Isandlwana and Blood River. It is also a 10-minute drive away from the famous Talana Museum.

The homemade food is outstanding and the service is five stars. Dirk, Salomè and their wonderful staff really make you feel at home. The rooms are cozy and well-kept.

Don't forget to ask Dirk for a complementary afternoon game drive at his farm. You can also walk around freely and explore wildlife. The game farm is well-stocked and the animals are well-kept. Overall, a great place to stay if you happen to be in the area.
