Beautiful place with amazing views but the food and service is shocking! We had 6 x mains to choose from and was the told at time of ordering that 3 x of these are out of stock. Same with people at the table next to us. Food is expensive and the quality terrible. We left half the food on our plates as it was that bad. Such a pity, place used to be great
The food and service was a joke I ordered a T bone medium rare with chips and a mushroom sauce, my wife ordered trout. The T bone came burnt beyond recognition with mash and vegetables with a light purple sauce . when tasting the meat the first thing that went through my mind was did the cow die quick or was it a slow agonizing process.. we not sure if the trout went before the cow but rest assured the lemon had them covered all the way.
Beautiful place with gorgeous views of the area. The site around the restaurant was under construction at the time of our visit but we had a positive experience never the lest. The interior is very kitsch yet up class. With not too much of a variety on the menu but still some interesting choices. We visited on a Tuesday, December 2017 for lunch on a day the fog spoiled it for most of the other tourists and the restaurant was totally deserted. This meant that the staff had the chance to have a chat and we enjoyed friendly well informed and quick service from the chef and waitress.
I would personally grade the food high and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of our choices.
The garden around the restaurant was beautiful as far as the mist permitted us to see with a peacock roaming on the lushly green grass.
Our visit was relaxing and calm in the presence of nature, away from the busy road to Graskop. We would definitely recommend a visit even if it is just for the good food.
