The best!! Please visit this arty town!
We had such an fantastic time. Park your car at the crmetary and walk down to the waterfall. Lots of other hiking trails also starting ftom there. Or drive past the town turnoff and go to the picnic spot. There is a walking trail there also to the top of the waterfall.
To end your visit, go to the town itself and walk amongst all the arty shops. There is all kinds of curio shops. I enjoyrd the glass curio shop. Then there are various eateries and guest houses. I enjoyed the friendly service at Salvador. The place has fantadtic food and a welcoming atmosphere. We did not want to leave. Go spend a weekend there. Kaapsche hoop is a 5star getaway if you are into hiking, picnics, history, snooping around art and craft shops and good dining.

We only hiked the first section and didn’t stay the night or make use of any of the facilities. The trail itself is well marked and worth walking. Take a walking stick no matter your age as there are a lot of spider webs and places where a bit of extra support is helpful.

Spectacular view once you get to the top Going up not for the elderly, pregnant or under 3 years if you start from the overnight hut. Easy walk back down to town

A short hike but breathtaking scenery. The overnight facilities are suited for summer months.
