The last few day's where quite exciting, we are now fully set up for the next season of growing and harvesting feed. With the new equipment we will harvest more and better quality feed.

Now lets hope to get a lot of rain for our crops to grow, and with that, get the first cut of organic oats and barley, and the mixed bales

I want to wish everybody a very happy and prosperous new year. Let's hope we will receive lots of rain this year to relieve the pressure on all animals and people. And thanks everybody for your support. Richard Jonkersberg Boerdery.

Lots going on at the farm. Fertilized the field of teff, planted another 18 Ha teff, and 11 ha of eragrotis.

On the farm we started cleaning a dam and fix the dam wall of another. So in future we have more water available for cattle and game.

The fertilized teff can be cut during mix January and will be available to our customers. Eragrostis has been cut but we still have a backlog delivering. The rain of last weekend had its toll and also some broken equipment holds us back. But it will come and will be available for all.

Busy week again. Harvesting oathay and grass bales. Preparing space for the bales to be stored.

Al the plants are bursting into leaves and fruit and flowers. And wonderfully we now can see what fertiliser works and which doesn't.

The figs are tremendous. The blueberries are big, although the plants are still small, but for organic grown blueberries they are nice and big. The raspberries are also expanding very well. So well , that we can multiply the plants this coming winter, as with the figs to. I like the pomegranate trees with there bright red flower/fruit. Most of the trees are small, because of a lot of damage because of warm winds, but now they are developing great. And the boer pompoene, are also growing like crazy , and they grow best on cow sh......

Today we started the preparations for the new teff season. We started to dish the land and next week we wil do the same over to ensure we have as little as possible dirt within the teff bales. Since we are an organic farm it's alway's a bit difficult to keep unwanted plant material out of our fields, but we learned a lot from the past en this year we are on time and field looks already much better then last year.

Also the structure of the soil is improved in compare with last year, and the return of earthworms is fantastic. Last year we hardly found them, but now they are everywhere.

Will try to keep everyone informed of the progress, Richard van der Veen.
