A beautiful home with great staff and owners . I felt very welcome.

Tranquil, elegant, quiet yet close to the main tarred road. Lovely rooms, beautiful decor. Not extreemly modern no wifi or dstv but very restful. Enjoyable breakfast. Friendly staff and the owner. Green well manicured grounds with a dam on site and visiting zebras. A must when a getaway is on the cards

Dinner was great but not enough, owner would not give some me more, so l went to bed hungry. We ask for lunch packs instead of breakfast, what a horrible sandwich , we ask for egg and tomato and we given tomato and some terrible bacon.
I believed comfort of the guest is important and they missed it completely.

Beautiful large furnished period rooms. A very nice couple and efficient maid, providing good food at a very reasonable price. In the middle of lovely countryside by the river, a very relaxing two nights stay, but oh for a pool !

It was very clean and comfortable. The room was very beautiful with a nice view of the river and the gardens, and in the morning we had a really great breakfast. Our hosts were very friendly and we felt comfortable and welcome.
I could definitely reccomend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time off.response / report this review -

I stayed over at Ivala for a night during a tour through South Africa last November.
I was happy to find friendly staff, great food and clean, upmarket accomodations in an amazing setting.
