Right in town in a semi quite area. Close to shops and places to eat. Enough parking and quite safe

The general rooms are really nothing more than a motel. Super expensive for the facilities that are on offer. Parking for vehicle in open lot where there is no access control except a gate that stands open on a permanent basis. Guests are rowdy and loud.
I cannot recommend this hotel.

Great for conferences and intimate gatherings. Their hospitality and service is excellent. However, they often book too many events on the same day at the same time and the noise takes center stage as their conference rooms are not soundproof.

No hot water in the room. Moved to another room at 22h00 which has an inter-leading door to another room where the occupier partied all night and I was unable to get any sleep

“This is the only place to stay in Mthatha” that’s their ad-slogan. But because this hotel is state of the art, but the other hotels are even worse. So this is a typical Motel-Style Accommodation. Your parking lot is in front of your room door. The rooms are tiny, but there’s anything you really need. It should be good for one or two nights. Should be renovated, but they have a new complex with few rooms at the backyard (called savoy exec.). They seem to be better but no much larger than the old rooms. Breakfast is very good, they serve eggs, bread, salami and ham, cheese and jam such as cereals. And you get a cappuccino from the self-service device.

Wonderful staff. Beautiful Executive rooms. Great, if not the best conference venue in Mthatha. Conveniently located on the main road but with such peaceful setting. Can't lounge anywhere else in Mthatha.

I am currently staying in the Savoy for 4 days. I have been here before and to be honest I was not too excited to come back but OOOO MMMYYYY WWWWOOORRRDDDDD..I am booked into the new HS Exec Suites..I feel like a queen. The rooms is fantastic. I love having a bath when I am away on business and had to go buy bubble bath at Spar last night as the rooms have a bath and shower. I need to mention the fantastic friendly cleaning staff as well. They are like family after I have been preparing for a case in my room for the past 2 days. They looked after my every need. I AM FOR SURE COMING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see they are busy renovating. Hopefully they will replace the carpets. Don't know why they say they have free Wifi. It does not work. When it work, it's nice. (2 months later and still wifi problems)

Absolutely amazing experience. From the time of check in to check out everyone was so helpful and kind. The rooms were amazing, and really quiet in the rooms. Everything available and nearby. Definitely the best we have been at. Keep it up guys, we will definitely be back.
