It is the only freshwater aquarium in Soith Africa. Nice place to visit especially om weekends and public holidays. There is a wide variety of fresh water fish to view like catfish and all. Also you can see crocodiles, tortoises and different types of ducks
Very sad state of affairs. I truly hope the animals held there are under license and if so, that the conditions are improved drastically sooner rather than later. I don't see this facility lasting if they don't clean up their act or get serious investment.
Given that the tickets were not cheap, the place feels run down and dilapidated, and could do with some improvement.
Great food and kiosks for snacks and a hub for cycling a hard track around the dam.
The aquarium is average, the seal and crocodile show was very informative. The place was clean, however, there is still room for improvement There should be more lighting in the aquarium- just a little more .
Friendly. A bit old but nice to see so many different animals
Honestly not worth your money. Entrance fee is expensive and the aquarium is extremely small. We were done in 15 minutes.
The place is nice, the view is to die for.
Nice for a couple of hours with the kids.
Needs a lot of attention especially to clean the water and the animals don't look like they get looked after properly
Dirty tanks and tiny enclosures. Cruel!
Totally not worth it.totally run down.and not appealing at all.
Sadly, this place is run down and not worth the R 70 you pay. It has been around for decades but the maintenance and what they have to offer is far behind the time.
While this will not be a day activity it is a unique location and is not very busy. I certainly would recommend budgeting an hour and making the time to go during the animal shows.
