GA is a bustling and vibrant hub that is easily accessible with public transport. Variety of food, fashion and furniture stores. This centre isn't necessarily a favourite but is known for convenient shopping in the heart of the CBD.

They need some benches to sit at this mall lol.. I ordered 2 cappuccino's and donuts for my daughter and I from a small business and couldn't find not one bench around. We sat down on a small platform by a statue and was told that we are not allowed to sit there. I told him there isn't anywhere for us to sit and asked him why there isn't any benches.. He said that it is a poor mall 🙈

One of the first shopping malls in Cape Town; it has some historical value. The centre itself is really big amd has a variety of shops - from dentists to fast food joints, to clothing stores and jewellery outlets. The "food court" however does leave much to be desired. Although a variety of eating places, there is very little sitting area - so be sure to go to a restaurant that has its own seating or simply get a takeaway.

Haven't been to Golden Acre for such a long time. What a lovely surprise to see it looking so good. It reminded me of when it first opened so many years ago. Lovely! Jenni.

Well blended shopping center between times gone by and modern innovation. The Cape Town culture of many ethnicities and traditions seemlessly form a coherence with newer shopping trends. All this with the Western world fast food franchises coexisting with traditional food services and also African and Eastern imports, giving the visitor a sensory feast of smells, sights and sounds that a leisurely visitor will remember long after spending time at the Golden Acre and surrounding areas. This is the place to walk around without time pressures and drink in a wealth of cultural, historical and modern day life that transcends the intuitive view of diversity as separateness, leaving the mind challenged as to how this place just works so well in such close quarters.
Central within the Cape Town CBD it is a must visit for locals and visitors alike.

The Acre is convenient but lacks sinage and center information, if you aren't familiar with the place it can take forever to get around.

Great underground shopping centre with everything you could possibly need. It's close to the train station, taxi rank , my citi bus terminal & metre taxis. it's truly very convenient. There are lifts & escalators almost everywhere to ease mobility for everyone.

Our office space is situated there so it's OK. Just gets crazy hectic on big pay days as any mall. A variety of shops for convenience. Just watch out for the "pick pocketers" even though there's visible security patrol.

Well maintained, safe and clean. Gives you direct access to the trains. Its also quite close to tge taxi and bus station. Contains a sizable shoprite checkers, clicks, clothing shopping stores etcso it's convenient. Can easily supply all one's shopping needs. It can get very crowded at times though.

I walk through the centre every second day. The vibe is rushed -passing through. Some days an unhealthy stench.

Getting anything done in this shopping centre is a mission. It's super convenient but only go here if you have time at your disposal.
