My experience of Busamed Gateway is laced with nothing but delight. It is unusual, in this day and age, to be treated by all staff (from the cheerful, caring doorman, to the cleaning, admin and hospitality staff, porters, nursing sisters and doctors) with respect, warmth and a very high standard of professionalism.
Unusual, too, that the comaraderie amongst staff members is marked with cheerfulness and mutual respect, rendering the general atmosphere healing and positive.

My particular stay was in the Orthopaedic High Care and in Ward C. Sister Odette in Orthopaedic High Care touched me very deeply by saying, "Please let me know if you find that I am not thinking like a patient."

The hospital certainly offers the very best service one could wish for.

Very neat and modern hospital that is conveniently located near Chris Saunders Park and Gateway. Has a very impressive waiting room, entrance and reception. It is a new hospital, very state-of-the-art facilities. Welcoming and friendly staff

This is a really great hospital. The nursing staff are very professional and friendly. The Doctors are exceptionally committed. The hospital has longer visiting hours than most other hospitals which is a huge plus.

Not good. No staff available when my brother was admitted. Post op care non existent. Wrong ID band, wrong medical records by the bed. Disappointing.

Came to this hospital because I heard it was one of the better ones in Durban. Had good, swift emergency service at the front desk, but it did not seem like the nurses who helped us knew too much about what they were doing (as if they were in training). The nurse struggled to put a drip my girlfriends arm and the doctor had to guide her through it resulting in it being successful on the fourth time leaving my girlfriend in tears. Other than that the hospital was clean and neat and the staff were helpful.
