Fabulous ambience with river flowing strongly past the restaurant. Self service - so place your order with the cashier then get your drinks next door and sit. Didn't wait long for our delicious hake and chips and salad to arrive. The batter was puffy, the fish a generous portion, the chips and salad perfect. A feast! In the building there is a charity, art and book shop, and for those not wanting fish there's a pizza den, curry restaurant and coffee shop with beautiful cakes. We tested the fudge. yum! This destination is a lovely drive out, on any day, rain or shine, for holiday makers or locals. A definite GO TO place - Loved it.

Good spot for an extended lunch break. Now also serving pizzas 'till late. The extended hours are also more practical. Service has improved lately.

It's self catering with minimal service! Although the food was acceptable, the service was almost non-existing. We pre-booked a table outside, but there was no table available when we arrived. Through the entire service the staff looked distracted and preoccupied and didn't seem to care if people were leaving because they where unsatisfied. This place is definitely not suited for an average dinner party but will cater nicely for 2 people looking for some reasonably priced sea food!

Great restaurant with great river views. They could do far better if they offered waiting. We were not even offered a table and a menu. It is a self order set up so one has to fetch the menu feom the till, find a place to sit, run through the menu, get back up to the till to pkace the order. This does not match up with the setting and the views. Could be better really

Honestly some of the most overcooked seafood I have ever eaten. No moisture in the hake, prawns like cardboard, mussels were little rubber nuggets. The calamari was lovely though and the service also good.

Must go, we had the mega fillet to share with a choice of salad, rice, chips or both. The fish was perfectly grilled with a creamy lemon butter and parsley sauce. Best fish we had in the area for a long time. Will visit them again on our next trip!

Great food, nice place to enjoy the river. Only that you have to go and get food and drinkes seperatly is a bit anoying. They bring you the stuff tho. And the price is fair. So fish on the river, five stars from me!

Awesome location. Alcohol fairly expensive. Food was enjoyable but average. Not a fan of self ordering at the counter, sometimes want to be served.

Best fish and chips, awesome calamari. Great atmosphere. Lovely local place well worth supporting. We have been going for almost 5 years now
