If you are looking for novelty purchases then this is the place to consider However, if you pop into a few of these stores, then don't bother visiting the rest!!! All of these stores practically stock the same products, if not then similar items

Went looking for Feng Shui items such as small statues and water features and was rather dissapointed with the range. Most of the shops stocked the same or similar items - all mainly western influenced. As well as it being horribly congested and humid in the mall, the walk ways are incredibly narrow, especially considering the volume of foot traffic through the mall. Overall an uncomfortable and hot experience, but I did come away with a few things I needed and some items were a good laugh.

Not strictly China City as many stores are Middle Eastern. The Chinese stores offer a bargain here and there. Some of the other stores do not display prices and try their luck depending on each customer's perceived income category. So, buyer beware.

A nice size shopping complex. Items you can find are Cellphone covers,chargers,suitcases and everything else to baking ;shoes and much more . ladies clothing affordable prices and you can bargain .

It looks sketchy on the outside, but rest assured: Durban China City is actually quite a decent place to go shopping for odds and ends.

I wouldn't recommend buying electronics from here, but there is an abundance of great security stores, fabric stores, and places with unique Chinese food products.

It would be advisable to go during lunch time on a weekday as the crowds get to be problematic due to the complex having narrow aisles and hallways to get around.
