Worst staff possible. Doctor is ok but would not recommend him based on the staff he has employed. Very unprofessional and unkind staff.

Dr Theron is a great cardiologist. Makes one feel at ease and explains everything in detail. Sets your mind at rest and is available when you need to speak to him. He's friendly and professional. The staff are wonderful and I am always welcomed with a friendly attitude. Cathy is a star and such a credit to the practice. Her knowledge of the various medical aids is astounding. Would recommend Dr Theron to anyone

I can not associate this report with the man that I have been a patient of, since he took over the practice from Dr Venter.
I have always been treated with the greatest respect and all details of my triple bypass discussed with me in depth.
Every visit to his rooms have only been a pleasure.

My visit to Dr JP Theron was 'n pleasant experience, friendly staff and he made feel very comfortable and at ease. He never hesitate to answer any of my questions. I will definitely recommend him to anyone..

Very professional very friendly staff. The best cardio Dr in the Union. Vary hands on. Doesn't waste your time and most of all very respectful towards his patients. Thank you Dr Jp Theron. Regards Mornay van Vuuren.

He is a brilliant heart doc and until recently throught highly of him.. But not always friendly or professional with his paiteints..
My mom was recently overseas and was not well, she had an eco done as my sister is a radiologist.. And with that they picked up something which my mom was very worried about..So needless to say I did phone doc Theron's rooms to see if I could get an earlier appointment with him for her when she gets back..but he was fully booked up.. the ladies I spoke to assured me that if they have a cancellation they will let me know otherwise she must wait for her appointment which was two weeks after she's back.. so hence when she did go for her appointment they just checked her pacemaker was fine, after that she asked the receptionist is she not seeing the doc and they said no..this upsetted my mom emensly, she then asked please she need to see Theron urgently and gave the receptionist all the reports from the eco she had from overseas, plus she needed him to look at her meds They booked her an appointment for the following week..So when the following week came around back at his rooms the for her appointment, they wanted again to do the peacemaker test which my mom told the gentleman that they did it a last week so she ask the guy about what they pick up on her heart, his response was yes they new about it.. which really shocked my mom, so she came back to the waiting area, well what the receptionist did not realize that I can speak Afrikaans and with being a teacher body language says alot..The receptionist was utterly disrespectful towards my mom when she spoke to the other receptionist about my mom, not realizing I was watching them.. then my mom went in to see Theron .. and a couple of minutes later she came out of his rooms totally pale and upset.. she walked right out..as she said she has never been so shock by a doc before, he was rude and had a very unpleasant attitude towards her..Not giving her a chance to explain anything.. what topped this all he the doc was not feeling well.. I did later the same day phoned the doc rooms and asked them to please explain to me what just happened between my mom and the doctor Theron.. I'm still waiting for that call..

My mom found a cardiologist that is covered by her medical aid and what a gentleman he was towards her.. he explained everything to her and descovered not only done she have one leaking valve but two.. but that was not the shocker for my mom he descovered her lungs are too week to cope with any kind of op and it's also the sore of her pain in her chest plus shortness of breath..

Now if Theron was compassionate or cared towards her he would have treated her with respect.. told her what the report said and should of realized there was something else wrong..which he did not..Him and his staff must remember oneday they're also going to get old and when they are treated with utter disrespect they must remember how they treated my mom..
