Set within the northern corner of the #EasternShores section of the #iSimangaliso #wetlandpark, Cape Vidal rates as my new favourite destination in this World Heritage Site. Excellent surfing and snorkeling with #SafariAndSurf, and idyllic camping spot To be avoided over peak school holiday season if you don't like crowds!

Very lovely private beach. Just make sure you pay on entering the first gate. Beautiful nature reserve of almost 45minutes before arriving at the beach. It is great to swim and make a whole day out of it. Remember a beach umbrella to keep the sand and wind away.

I go here twice a year, awesome place to experience nature at its best. Great fishing too. Accomadation on the group cabins is very reasonable.

This place is so awesome. Just take note of the following: 1. Try to take your time with the road in as there are beautiful birds and flaura to be seen along the way, 2. Stop, leave the camera in the car and take in the beauty of your surroundings. Imagine no tar roads, not fake palm trees and none of the scars left by humankind - you are basically in the jungle :); 3. It's a really long walk to the beach and the sand is seriously hot, so put on proper shoes, take some form of shade along and enough refreshments (no alcohol, though; they do checks at all entrances on the way to the beach/es). 4. From personal experience I would advise that a) you take plenty of refreshments, as I have not seen any of those tuck shops we're used to seeing at beaches, b) shade is an issue, so ensure you have enough of it c)always check out the tides before planning your visit (try swell.co.za, 'though I suspect a local [if you can find a friendly one] may be able to provide you with the detail of a more mobile device friendly URL). There is an entry/conservation fee payable, so if you're not camping you may want to make the most of your day, so d) go early. Folks around here are amazingly early risers and parking could turn out to be your dog's wife if you arrive after everyone else.

All in one. Game park, Snorkeling (NB Low Tide, check tide times) and Awesome Beach. Fun for everyone. Take care as the monkeys will take almost anything from you when close to the trees. Not to worry about it when on the beach.

Honestly i love cape vidal for the access to the beach and fishing. Mission rocks is great too!
Toilets needs to be increased of cleanliness, and showers fixed. My friend got stuck in the shower because the door could not open. safety of monkeys.. there are security gaurds, but didnt do anything, my friend and i had to fight off a samango monkey from taking the rest of our food.
Be careful with kids and the monkeys, and never feed them.

When going to cape vidal it's actually not just about going to the beach. You basically need the whole day as the drive there is the fun part. There is a lot of small gravel roads and lookout points to take which is what takes up the time and it's well worth it. We've spotted some hippos, zebras, wildebeest and bucks on the trip. Take food/drinks as it is warm, especially on the beach. A must visit when going to saint lucia.

We camped here. A fantastic beach and great sites. My daughters comment was "Daddy this is amazing we have just seen a rhino and now we are on the beach!"

Lovely calm clear beaches. Toilets and a handy convenience store on site. Be wary of the monkeys though, they wait for an open window or door to jump though and take some food.

Great nature reserve with clean beach. Fishing is good and the water is warm. Campsites are behind the dune and there are enough and clean bathrooms.
