It is really disappointing that the staff is very friendly, people like Mr Patrick. The room we got is beautiful but cleanliness, is not up to standard. You complain that they use the same cloth they cleaned the floor to clean the coasters. Please, management look at this

Used wikideals for the spa and it was amazing. They made us feel so welcome. The therapists were very professional and told us exactly what they were going to do. I would definitely recommend the spa.

Too much opulence for one person. The breakfast room is so small. This is more of an apartment set up for big families travelling together. Indian or Arabic families would prefer this. Kitchens are fully equipped. Second bedroom too small for adults. Rather meant for small children. A large lounge in the apartment not meant for a single traveller.

Nice hotel. Needs a little updating. Elevators needs upgrading and the spa needs to be modernised a little. The treatments were satisfactory on the whole. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful

I stayed here with my wife and sister in a two bedroomed suite
All the staff were extremely friendly and obliging , nothing was too much trouble.
The suite was very clean and the hotel ideally situated for the V and A waterfront
The courtesy bus came in very handy to go to the waterfront if you didn’t want to walk

We had breakfast in the cafe royale every morning the staff again very cheerful and helpful

Sheer opulence does not come anywhere near describing this hotel. We stayed here for our honeymoon and from the moment we stepped onto the premises to the moment we waved goodbye, we were taken care of to the highest degree. Every need was catered for and the hotel itself is simply stunning! Special mention should go to Talent, the wonderful concierge and Byron the brillant chauffeur/expert guide whom made our stay that much more special!

Lovely hotel, we were charged extra to park our car by valet which was a surprise when we got there to have extra charges. Rooftop bar is poorly designed and poorly decorated. Looks tired and old already. Very disappointed. Rooms are nice and luxurious but seems ridiculous to have to order things from the mini bar from a list, as apposed to it being in the fridge already.

Nice hotel but terrace is underwhelming considering that it should have an amazing view. The view is mostly blocked.

I gave this only 1 star because for the prices they charge it should be a lot better. However if the charged half of their current rate I'd give them 5 stars. Severely overpriced

The rooftop pool bar is awesome, but in some need of maintenance.

A good experience tarnished by some small details.

It felt very cheap, the glasses and jugs felt like they were acquired at a R 5 store. The menu's were sandwich laminated like you get at very cheap pubs.

The pool was murky and there was a foul odor wafting from the floorboards/plants.

The service was the one thing that was awesome.

Utterly disgusted. Went to the sky bar for a drink. The staff was extremely unfriendly. Furthermore, the shower heads were missing in the bathroom. The toilet was dirty from what looked like puke which had not been cleaned. Lastly, the entire sky bar smelt of raw sewage, and the pool was murky, and had bits of toilet paper floating in it. I would highly recommend that you avoid this unpleasant experience. I am saddened by the fact that it has deteriorated so much since my previous visit. You won't see me again.

I have yet to stay here, but the rooftop bar and pool is great! Awesome views of the ocean and the mountain, and heavenly mojitos. Bar staff are very friendly as well. Large enough to host big parties.
