Very poor hygiene practices during lockdown - No sanitiser, gloves, masks or any kind of protection was used by the driver who delivered fully opened packets with all the food exposed. My order included 2 boxes of vegetables that were supposed to "feed a family of 4 for a week". Those "boxes" could not feed a family of 2 for 2 days because they lacked half of the products advertised and Braeside literally sent a bunch of spinach to fill up space. I had missing items and I am still waiting for my refund. I received a call last week from a gentleman to say that he, unfortunately, cannot sit next to the driver to make sure he's complying with the regulations and he also doesn't check the veggie boxes before they are dispatched to customers - Unacceptable response that says it all. I am not surprised to see all the negatives reviews I am reading on this thread. I understand that these are difficult times for everybody (not just you as suppliers, but for us customers too), but your lack of hygiene to protect your drivers and your clients, the lack of quality control to make sure that you deliver what you are being paid for, and the deficient communication is inexcusable.

Won't be ordering again. Went with Braeside online ordering as I was unable to find grass fed beef in Pretoria.
1st order was great.
2nd order, I ordered Ribeye and got Sirlion. The chicken also smelt like it was on the verge of going off. It was delivered to my office in the afternoon and i thought perhaps i left it out of refrigeration too long. I emailed them about the Ribeye and was told it would be replaced on next order.
3rd order, Ribeye was not replaced(even after emailing new order number for a reminder). All the chicken this time was off. Delivered straight to my house and straight into the freezer. Every packet of chicken smelt terrible once opened. Even after rinsing and cooking it still smelt terrible. Beef and pork was perfect.
Giving 2 stars as looking at the other reviews it seems I was just unlucky and all the beef i received was exceptional.response / report this review -

Incredibly poor performance - I would have given them no stars if allowable. I did three on-line orders and will never use them again. Constant chasing. Every order place, there was something incorrect - either product delivered that wasn’t ordered or the incorrect amount sent. Delivery never done on time and only after nagging. Final straw was rotten meat that was delivered. Honestly, it’s the worst service I’ve ever experienced and I found a distinct non-apologetic attitude and tone when I expressed my frustration. Maybe they are just too busy but I’m definitely going elsewhere now.
UPDATE - response from owner below noted but it's been two weeks since they posted it and no contact made whatsoever - so much for being concerned about customer experience!! Honestly, don't bother, I won't be coming back at all. Use your energy to keep the customers you have.response / report this review -

I bought some lamb chops here last night, great service, cut to size nice and thick to specification. When it came time to pay I was a little shocked at the price. But, after putting them over fire, I have to say the price was almost too low. They were fantastic! Super tender and tasty, some of the best quality chops that I've prepared.
