These guys should close up shop!! I recently took my car for a minor service (oil change) and general check-up. It cost me R2000 for the job which I find ridiculous as I only got oil and filter. No report on diagnostics and other checks. I asked them to replace a bulb in my brake light, which I found was not done. When I enquired, nobody knew about this, which led me to believe that no checks were done. About five guys tried to change a single bulb without any luck!!! You mean you cant change a bulb? In addition, I found my car still dirty! Absolutely disgusted with the service!!! And I was thinking of taking the wife's car there as well! Not a chance!

One's car is generally probably one of the most expensive and important assets we one. Bosch clearly has an issue getting this concept. Just another business thinking that they're doing you a favour by providing a service you paid for.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of being forced to use Bosch to do a technical inspection for the sale of my vehicle.

Firstly, arriving at the centre there is a sign posted up saying they might open late at times due to the roadworks around the area. Because you know how the roadworks that's been going on for two years sometimes surprises you in the morning. Just another excuse for not caring about serving customers.

Them came the lady who booked my car in. Even though a booking was made the day before, she was completely confused about the car and my name. Not to mention she could barely write properly because she was still half asleep. After correcting her about all my details I then took her out to my car. She didn't check the mileage or what fuel was left and asked me to do it. She stood to one side without checking the scratches as asked me I there was any damage. She then took my keys and walked away, I had to ask her to please lock my car, but she tried to tell me it was ok no one would steal it. I then politely told her that please give me the key so I could lock the car.

I was told that the inspection takes 3 hour and they would call me when I is done. Of course no one called me all day and had to call them to ask if it was done. Eventually someone said that I can collect the car in the afternoon. After checking my tracker, I could see that the inspection took about 1 hour after I had dropped it off, after which someone took it for a "test drive" deep into Mt Edgecombe.

When I went to collect the vehicle, not only was there a guy in reception who had just brought his car back because it was now leaking oil, the people behind the desk didn't know which my car key, because they were all jumbled up in a safe box. My car had also been "washed", but clearly an awful job. Upon checking the inspection certificate, I could clearly see they had not inspected the exterior of the vehicle and just copied what the sleepy head lady had scribbled on her paper earlier. They marked the wiper blades as not ok because they said it is "streaky".

Word of advice.stay far away from these guys. I know the agents aren't the best, but you can be sure they will give better customer service. I really don't understand why banks do not use agents for inspection of cars.

And to top everything off they stuck a massive sticker with their business name on the car. Sickening, knowing the effort to get that glue off your car.

I know this is a massive rant, but cars are a massive expense and don't want anyone to end up with a problem

If you want good service that is reasonably priced , then this is the place. They carefully check each car and found small issues on my car even though it was checked by McCarthy , AA and the Agent
