Well located, great rates, comfortable and warm beds, clean bathroom, kitchen and free breakfast. I was lucky enough to meet people who became great friends. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and staff, very accommodating to all and everybody. It is a place with a lot of attitude. Nice pool and free coffee!

Wow. What a stay!!! I have made 3 friends for life at Big Blue Backpackers. One of the faces associated with the lodge was in prison on Robben Island with Nelson Mandela. The breakfast was amazing as well as the super fast Wi-Fi facilities. This lodge is a must visit for all.

I've been on so many different hostels in my life and Big Blue is the definitely the best! There aren't even words enough to describe my love for this hostel. You'll be treated as an individual and you'll feel like you've found a new place to call home when you leave. Big Blue CREW, aka, my South African family. The Swedish girls are coming back for you❤

Decent little backpackers. The rooms and lodge itself were very clean and the room private enough. There is WiFi and free tea and coffee available. The bar is reasonably priced and there are a couple of good 'chill' areas. The breakfast selection was pretty disappointing, but at least it was free in the deal we bought. Bring your own pillows, however! We only had one little down feather pillow each on our beds, and when we asked at reception if there were any more we were told no. So that was a bummer. But on the whole it was a decent place to spend the night.

Cheap and clean accommodation. The room we were in had very poor WiFi connection, but the bed was comfortable and it got the job done.

Great stop over place for price paid. Friendly staff and cosy place just like a real old school backpackers vibe close to many attractions too.
