Nice public bathrooms, nice communal kitchens with lots of stove tops. Camping on the lawn is a pleasure.

Appin Farm is a beautiful rustic location next to Love Lions Alive Sanctuary. We camped there for a 2-day frisbee tournament. The campsites were great, plenty of flat ground and soft grass, close to electrical outlets and bathrooms. The stunning Swinburne mountain, the amazing sunsets, and the roars of the lions in the sanctuary next door made for a beautiful experience.

We spend every 2nd Xmas at Appin Farm. Can accommodate about 35 people. Large outdoor lapa with plenty of space. As they also do weddings, theres a big equipped kitchen and a very big dining area. Enough space in the front for the kids to run around! Cost for accommodation is R200pp. Rooms have 2 single beds en suite. Theres also a house with 4 bedrooms.

Very disappointed as we tourists were not allowed in because we are Indians. While a white family were allowed in and the gate was closed on us.

We love Swinburne. Staying in the old farmhouse is just heavenly and we definitely plan to make it a regular stay over. Can't wait to go in a few weeks time. Beautiful scenery, lovely hikes, awesome rock climbing! It's really lovely here and loads for outdoorsy kids to do.
