The home of Amarula. Here in Phalaborwa they collect the Maroela fruit when in season and process the pulp usually between end of January till March. They greet you with a drink of Amarula liqueur in crushed ice as you enter. I watched a video presentation which was interesting but I will be back when the fruit is in season to get a tour of the factory! There is a little gift shop and a restaurant serving light meals inspired by Amarula and drinks.

Hospitality and caring Staff. When you arrive you are welcomed with a drink to ease your tension and make you relax. It's a wonderful place to be if you want to learn about beneficiation of the Marula Fruit

Not worth the detour. You could have bought a bottle of Amarula at a liquor store for cheaper and enjoyed it while seeing the sunset of having a braai. Everything more expensive and you could have read up on the history on the internet. I LOVE Amarula and enter all the competitions but the Amarula Lapa for me was a waste of time.
