If you are a diver come to this place! All the staff are really awesome and helpful. You get all the important meals here and there homemade bread is delicious. The dives usually happen in the morning, they have shark dives, if anyone is interested and not afraid, because there is no cage of protection.
Something that is a plus: they have two adorable dogs in the hotel, they are very friendly.

Really awesome experience: friendly staff, amazing service, great accommodation, beautiful setting and awesome diving. Agulhas House is incredibly well set up; they have the tools, work areas, equipment and facilities for all kinds of diving, including CCR. Thank you!

One of my favorite places in Dbn area, the staff are amazing, great food, great company. The people are knowledgable, no request to big or too small. If you enjoy diving, arguably the best dive charter in the area, the guys are great, knowledgable, competent, thinking divers, after diving with them I changed my dive agency - Well Done Brett, Michelle and the Team

Brett and his team just get it. They are always happy to help, go the extra mile every chance the get. The accommodation is always neat. The international feel creates a great vibe, and as so many have commented, the pool is amazing

The people are friendly, helpful, and they are always ready to serve. No request is to big or to small to attend to right now

What a pleasure staying with Agulhas house. Will be back, very soon

While all dive clubs in Umkomaas offer similar diving packages, the owner Brett promised I'll get a diving computer at no extra cost so I decided to go with them. I'm an experienced diver with 100+ dives. The first dive went well even though nothing too amazing showed up.

On the second dive (the next day) the dive master saw I have a leak from the regulator as we were about to gear up, already on the boat far from shore. I wasn't able to check their equipment myself beforehand. Without consulting me he decided to change to a different regulator. Problem was the dive computer was attached to the first regulator and the alternative one had a malfunctioning depth gauge. I noticed it when I went down and alerted the dive master about it. He didn't seem to care much nor verify I'm always a bit shallower than him. He frequently went up and down without looking at me. I had to make sure I follow him as without a computer or depth awareness, I was at his mercy. In retrospect, I probably should have alerted the group and go up after understanding I cannot rely on the dive master nor equipment.

Personally, I would have gone down with a slight air leak from the regulator as this is often the result of a faulty o-ring and nothing that justifies switching to another worse malfunctioning equipment. I chose them so I'd be diving with a dive computer and ended up without one, putting my safety at risk.

A day later I've alerted the Brett about the incident. It took me a bit of time to digest it and understand all that went wrong. He took some weeks to respond and then chose to toss the blame at me. I've never requested compensation of sorts and thought alerting him to better his service would be appreciated. He got the facts wrong repeatedly, insisting I used NITROX where in face I've never had a NITROX dive in my life. He insisted the equipment is checked before being loaded on the boat. If that's true, I guess I was specifically unlucky to have two bad regulators for me.

Another issue with them is that I wanted to get my partner to do a diving course. They offer only RAID, which is a much lesser known agency. Brett insisted they're known and accepted worldwide. When I checked with the diving association of my country they said they never heard about RAID. She ended up doing a PADI course with another club.

My experience with them has been a few months back so I'm not angry any more, just wish to warn other divers who might choose their services. I warmly suggest not to book anything in advance with any of the clubs. Show up and see if the weather is good enough.

An excellent place and wonderful people at Agulhas House. The team made us feel welcome and nothing was to much effort. The food was great and the rental kit was in lovely condition.

During a dive I lost my GoPro due to my own fault. The GoPro was found a few days later in the sea and kindly returned to me. I really appreciate this.

To everyone at Agulhas House, my family and I say thank you!

It is clean, the pool is nice and deep. There is a proper shower for when you come back from your dive. Brett likes to talk to his customers and he is a trustworthy person to do business with.
