I cannot say enough good things about African Travel Gateway and Cathy our agent. Our trip was fantastic, the hotels were terrific, the guides were knowledgeable . all in all PERFECTION! All of this was organized by Cathy after we laid out for her our time constrictions and preferences. In addition, we are Orthodox Jews with special dietary restrictions and Cathy learned this entire matter and managed everything for us including a Kosher Safari Lodge. For whatever your travel needs in Africa are, use this agency, they are the best.

We found African Travel Gateway by accident after going into our local AAA travel agent (in the USA) and asking about booking a South African safari and vacation through a travel agent. Our internet surfing led us to ATG and we are so glad that it did. We contacted them over the weekend and received a prompt reply on Monday morning.
Cindy completely customized our 12 day trip including flights, transfers, hotels, activities and- most importantly- our safari. She tailored the trip exactly to our liking and did so at an extremely competitive price. Her response time while putting the trip together was fast and effective.
We had private tours and transfers and were put up in 4-5* accommodations at every stop. I highly recommend working with Cindy at African Travel Gateway.response / report this review -

- Overall, I have to say it was a fabulous trip, probably a trip of our lifetime. And I think much of it is credited to the way African Travel Gateway planned it.
- I realize there were a lot of moving parts - multiple locations, different countries, different travel guides and agencies to coordinate with. And over our 15 day travel, I don't think there was a single glitch. Everything was seamless, on-time and very well coordinated
- Also, the selection of places, hotels and itineraries was incredible. All the hotels/lodges were very comfortable, good locations and service. I was especially impressed with the African Rock Hotel which I think was a hidden gem and not everyone would know about it.

I had a wonderful 7 day safari in Kenya prepared by African Travel Gateway. I was a bit intimidated travelling alone to Kenya as a 30 year old female, however, Cindy took care of all of the details. She had someone pick me up from the airport with my name on a poster, and the driver was very nice and helpful. My guide, Sammy, was absolutely amazing. He made me feel comfortable immediately. His knowledge of the different animals, geography, and dirt roads (with no signs whatsoever!) was exceptional. He spotted so many birds and animals on safari that I never would have seen because they blend in so well. He educated me on the country, the wildlife, and the people of Kenya. My trip was completely customized and tailored to where I wanted to go. My guide, Sammy, got me so close to the animals that I could have reached out and touched them. It truly was the experience of a lifetime and I owe it all to the team at African Travel Gateway. I very much want to come back and tour other countries, and will certainly use this company to plan that trip. Simply wonderful!!

My husband and myself along with two of our cousins planned our trip to South Africa through African Travel Gateway.
We arrived into Cape town where our very friendly driver was waiting to meet us. After helping us with the bags to the vehicle, he then gave us some information about Cape Town whilst enroute to our hotel. The Commodore hotel was beautiful. Very well situated near the water front, it was comfortable, homely with a super breakfast and just perfect. We spent 2 nights here.
We had hired a jeep which arrived on day three and the handing over was a very smooth process . We then took off to Garden route safari lodge a lovely private game reserve for 2 nights which included 4 game drives. The lodge was very nice and we stayed in a watering hole chalet which had a lovely view from the balcony. The food here was exceptional.
Our next stop was Franschhoek,wine country, where we stayed at the La Fontaine Guest House – a very quaint and absolutely gorgeous B & B for 2 nights. Again, breakfast was very good with continental being served buffet style and eggs to order. Location wise, superb as a very short walk to all the shops and restaurants.
Next we headed off to Hermanus, the coast where we stayed at Whale Rock Lodge, again an absolutely lovely lodge with the rooms being impeccably decorated and again a lovely breakfast.
Overall, the tour was one of the best we have been on and the places we stayed could not have been better. There we no issues along the way with pick ups or drop offs.
I would strongly recommend planning your holiday with African Travel Gateway and Lize, who did all our bookings was always available and did a splendid job with all of the arrangements. She went out of her way to make sure we got what we wanted and then more! We made changes along the way which were attended too and her initial proposal for our package was superbly presented. This is no ordinary travel company but one that really does its best to give you the best.

Oh My Gosh! African Travel Gateway is awesome. They planned our 20 anniversary trip to South Africa and Victoria Falls. The trip was flawless! Not one problem and the accommodations they arranged were wonderful! We were constantly changing our plans and they were constantly helping us out! I just cant say enough about how wonderful African Travel Gateway is. We could not beat their prices and the piece of mind they gave us was Priceless!!! Thanks again for making our dreams come true!!!

Planned a big trip to South Africa with stays and activities in several locations. Cathy at African Travel Gateway planned the trip meticulously for us and the advice was brilliant and good value for money. We saw so many wonderful sights, when we got back to the UK some of our friends thought we had made up the photos!!! Currently saving up to go back! Thanks guys!

Just wanted to thank you for all your help and advice arranging our holiday in SA. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return. Knowing our itinerary, trips and accommodation had been selected and arranged by people who really knew the country gave us confidence before we left and exceeded our expectations when we arrived. Umlani Bushcamp was a definite high point as was our luxurious hotel in Franschhoek. I would have no hesitation in recommending African Travel Gateway.
