Great fun ride on the cable car and fantastic views at the top. Very modern and up to date facilities. Well worth a visit.

My parents took my girls up the cable car. My father who is a pensioner got charged full price and they charged my parents for my 3 yrs old which was meant to go for free. Dishonest not to check and to charge a grey haired obviously over 60yr the full price (especially since your pensioner rate is R120 more than that of the Table mountain pension rate!!!!). Poor customer service: they could train their staff to charge the appropriate prices.

They were standing in the queue to go up on the cable car. And a couple with a baby got given their own cable car to go up the mountain. Then when it was my parents turn the usher tried to force more people in their cable car when they already had 4 people in the car. When my parents refused to allow it the usher got very aggressive. Why was the couple ahead of them allowed to enjoy the family experience alone when they were not?

When you are paying R620 to go in a cable car up a mountain which is only a 5-8min trip you are spending the money on the shared experience of family/friend company. The usher seemed to have not been given the appropriate training and lacked the necessary grace and people skills to handle the situation properly.

the view is amazing. there is paragliding as well as lots of nice food places to eat at. admission is a bit pricey R175 per person, well worth doing once in your life
