Lovely campsite to use as a base in the park. Ablutions are spotless. Easy walk to the restaurant.
But be sure to book in advance. Always full.

Camp ablutions are very clean and well maintained. Camp sites are a bit crowded and could be a bit more spaced our, some are very small only suitable for smaller tents. All have electricity

Great park, a must see. Ordinary rest camp. Prices too high in shop. Accommodation very poorly maintained, tending towards run down. The park itself is awesome! Don't miss it!

Tent camp sites are tiny and way too close to each other. I don't know how you are supposed to put one tent and one car on a site. Let alone have somewhere to sit. Recommend caravan sites even if tenting

What a special place - the Elephants, Buffalo, and Lions are magnificent. Accommodation is clean, and comfortable. Staff are very friendly. Great food. If you're visiting the area, this is a must

Always nice to visit. This time we used accommodation outside the Park. For South Africans the Addo is just to expensive. Food is boring and also not cheap. Rather have a picnic and safe a lot of money. Elephant sightings always good. Predators, mmmm rather go to Kruger or the very expensive private game reserves in the area.;

We stayed at the quiet Mathyolweni camp and it was perfect. A braai on the deck rounded a perfect day of game viewing. Elephants abound and we counted close to 100 together at the main watering hole.

Main camp at Addo has a shop and restaurant as well as some more interesting aspects. The interpretive centre has some displays on the fauna and flora found in the park and some interesting history about the park. The underground hide is not all that underground, but does have a good view of a waterhole where you are likely to see elephants.

A day well spent. Being from India it was always my wish to see how different the African cousin is from the Indian version. Well to be sure the African elephant did not disappoint me.

Go to Addo Elephant park to catch the biggest land mammal in live action very closely. If you are really lucky you may even spot the king of the jungle also. We had to be content with hyena, ostrich, boars, monkeys and yes loads of elephants.
