Description

"Ad Lucem" could be described as "walking towards the Light" in Latin.

This ministry initiative started with the growing need we have recognized in individuals and community surrounding us. In October 2013 we had the privilege to host a series of Dialogues and Debates with world renown Apologists and were simply overwhelmed by the response from communities throughout South Africa and beyond. As a ministry we have recognized the need to organize these interactions between all people of diverse religious backgrounds and cultures (1 Peter 3:15-16; 2 Corinthians 10:5; Colossians 4:5-6).

Our primary aim is to create a platform where people can engage with one another freely and respectfully. We have done so at majority of Universities, Colleges, Churches and City Halls.

Another primary aim is to reach people within their communities who may not be part of a Church or denomination. We take services to people leading them to become the Church in their own communities. We do this by hosting interdenominational services where all Christian seekers are welcome to enjoy a rich Spirituality and nourishment through retreats and Specific Contemplative services. The location for these services are static and could take place wherever we find the need (Ephesians 4:15;2 Corinthians 9:10; Matthew 28:18-19).

The Last aim of this ministry is to be Socially significant in the communities wherever we may find ourselves. We want to give any person the opportunity to join us at any given time to reach out to communities that are: poor, discarded, hungry and lonely (Matthew 25:37-40; Mark 10:21; Luke 14:12-14).

If you need any more information or interaction and desire to see this ministry come to your community please feel free to inbox us at any time. If you have any ideas that would bring glory to Our Lord and Savior please inbox us as well. Be blessed!

Finally we would like for you to read the following passage of Scripture which richly describes what we desire:

1 John 1 The Message (MSG).

1-2 "From the very first day, we were there, taking it all in—we heard it with our own ears, saw it with our own eyes, verified it with our own hands. The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we’re telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly, this: The infinite Life of God himself took shape before us.
3-4 "We saw it, we heard it, and now we’re telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. Our motive for writing is simply this: We want you to enjoy this, too. Your joy will double our joy!
5 "This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.
6-7 "If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth—we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin".
