One of the best lodges we have been to. The most freindly people, best service and awesome views. The food is to die for. So rarely does one see a chef with a true passion for what they do. Will never forget this place and their manager. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Great little bar. Excellent restaurant. Definitely worth it.

Guys this is so bad that you can have a lodge where everybody is having some good reviews about but no one can get hold youon your landline number (yes the one you've posted on your site) I 've sent couple of emails requesting some help on my booking neither of you have responded. 'm not sure now, perhaps your lines are not working or whatsoever but someone should have told the public that your lines are out. I wanted to make some booking online but the moment I've noticed that I can't reach your lodge telephonicallyI became sceptical and worse cos you don't even reply to any of methods of communication you've listed as your contact details.

    Disappointed

    💖💖💖 ! What a fantastic B&B ! 💖💖💖
The most amazing Panorama. Really wonder full Rooms. Lavish Breakfasts & Sensational Food. Also a Great Bar. 🍜☕
But the most important is the homely atmosphere. You don't feel like in a hotel, but visiting your Family. We left having made new Friends in not just the owners, but also the absolutely friendly and helpful staff.
I can only recommend it to everyone. I first booked only one night, but extended for another 2 days (and cancelled my other reservations) We were not one moment bored, as there were many activities to do and interesting & beautuful sites to visit. 👍👍👍

Absolutely amazing getaway, Norma made us feel at home. Lea was a great treat as the night manager and the newest addition Natasha made it all fabulous.

I will definitely recommend this retreat to others, even made some friends from our neighborhood.

    Thank you for everything.

The is a very beautiful place the room me and my husband strayed in had a beautiful view of the mountain. The people working there are just so lovely like they really care about their guests. We enjoyed our stay there I wouldn't mind going back again.

We stayed one night in the cottage at Acra Retreat in November 2016. The cottage is spacious, easily big enough for a small family and has self catering facilities. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and beautifully presented and the service was excellent. The resort is well situated, with views across the valley and Waterval Boven. Acra Retreat is a perfect stopover for people travelling to the Kruger National Park or looking for a quick escape from the city. For those looking to do day excursions, expect a few hours driving to most attractions. The last few kilometers of the drive to Acra are poorly maintained, but the destination makes it worth it.

Real old world charm, reminds me of a guest house in the hills of Austria. Norma and Holger are both friendly and efficient. Pre-book Dinner and it will be an unforgettable experience. Breakfast outside is a must! Beautiful views and very well priced! Worth the detour to or from Joburg to Kruger National Park!
