  Wow what a lovely place ! We were lucky to have rented this ultra modern eco friendly home. Perfect location as its only a short walk to the river. Lisa the owner took care of us. Very impressive the details in how this house was made, doubt you could find a nicer place in Marloth than this holiday home. its so well designed we hardly had to use the AC. Just amazing to dip in the pool with a cold one and watch the animals. Our kids were blown away with how much fun they had. A zebra came and drank from the pool while we were having a braai. We rented for 4 nights, shared with relatives. It was spotless clean, went on 2 game drives that Lisa helped us organize. For sure would stay here again. Many thanks to Lisa, JP and family

  Wow Impressive, Spotless clean, Excellent Onsite Host ! We were lucky to have stayed at this first class house, our group of 6 booked 4 nights in Feb via Jacques at Marloth Kruger Safari Accommodation, he gave us a good dea and answered all our questions. He offered to meet us at the property but turned out the owner was going to be there so we were fine with that.
  Jacques suggested once into Marloth Park that we drive along the river to get there, a perfect introduction to Marloth ! Saw a big herd of Elephants and several antelope drinking at various spots, driving quite slow it took about 15 minutes, then turned up onto Naboom only 1 minute and we were at 3261. Could tell we could easily walk to the river Upon arrival we were met by the host Lisa, she showed us the entire house and explained how everything worked. We felt like this was perfect for us and at a very good price considering how fancy it is.
  Have to say this is the nicest place I have ever stayed in my life ! The design of this home is ultra modern, smartly laid out, spacious bedrooms each with large ensuite bathrooms & elegant linens,( better than I have at home lol) and expensive beds . Actually expensive everthing. The kitchen is a dream come true, even has power right in the middle of the granite island ! At a guess this would be the most modern home in all of marloth park.
  
  Fantastic back yard with nice trees and good viewing into the bush. We spent quite a bit of time at the pool after game drives, we braaied 2 times, on very nice clean braai ready to go. From the viewing deck we saw Giraffe, warthogs, zebra, kudu and a mom bush buk with its baby. 5 minutes walk to the Crocodile river we went 2 times, Bring binoculars, there is a viewing spot with a bench where you can just chill and see whats going on. First time only saw a couple of hippos, had a few cold ones then went back, the 2nd time we saw a pride of 5 lions on the other side of the river, finishing up what we thought was a wildebeest. Hung out for likely an hour with binoculars observing the show while making sure our cooler was empty for the walk home lol
  
  Jacques assisted us with 2 game drives, we had the best times of our lives, saw the big 5, got close to a leopard, 10 meters !! Also saw 3 cheetas, 4 rhinos, only 1 lion but all in all a dream come true, for anyone considering marltoh park its well worth staying here as its only 15-20 minutes to kruger.
  Back to the house, one day it was 41 degrees we just drove around Marloth with the ac on and saw lots of entertainment ! While a bit too hot when we got back to the house bit worried it would be quite warm, to our surprise it was 23 inside ! What a relief. Ran into Lisa, she explained how she the house was designed with with special insulation to keep cool inside when really hot. Seemed almost every day we saw a worker making sure the grounds were tidy and maintained. All in all have to say this is a well run rental with good service, especially Jacques who we booked this vacation with, he also helped us on where to dine, shop and other activities.   We had a stay from hell in Nathi Guest House, in Malroth Park South Africa. We booked the house from the October 21-25, for 2 guests. The total was $381 with Airbnb.
  
  We could not arrive on the 21st, and we only arrived the 22nd midday with 4 people.
  
  On our first night we were burglarized, and 2 high end smart ($900 each) phones, and ($3,000) cash were stolen. Our Host/Owner L. claimed it was a ghost thief, A Thokholoshi - a mythical creature in Zulu culture that becomes invisible when it drinks water.
  
  ‘Coincidentally’ the house alarm didn't go off.. Our host Lisa told us not to arm to security that night and that she will do it. Now we know why.. we tested the alarm later and it was set up with a 10 minute delay.. when we confronted our host as to why there is a 10 minute delay on the alarm, she said oh yea I just need to reset it… that is after we got ‘robbed’…
  
  When we asked the host if we should call the police, she tried to dissuade us from doing so, saying the police will never help us.
  
  When we visited the local police station on Oct 25 to make a police report about the burglary, the police were very concerned, they said that the area has been plagued by burglaries for 5 years, at extremely high rate. The police further stated that most of those thefts are orchestrated by the property landlord themselves (and there are significant questions, in our case, as to how the thief came in without tripping the alarm, and who closed the alarm after he left, and how it was setup for a 10 minute delay on the alarm….).
  
  The house is pretty nice, a bit overbearing with art and notices.. there is a safe which the host did forget to mention or to leave instruction how to operate, but the toilet paper instruction are posted, just saying…
  
  Though there was never hot water in the morning for showers, because she uses a solar system, so in the morning it’s only cold water, and at night only scolding hot water. And ceiling fans sound like commercial paper shredder.
  
  There is no exterior lights on the house, there are outlets but they have been disconnected and the light fixtures were removed.. easier to rob, because you're in a display box, the thief can see everything and you see yourself in a mirror on display. However our hosts house, on the same property, 20 meters away from this rental, does have big exterior flood lights..
  
  The road in is as terrible as you will find, you need some spare tires for sure.
  
  On Oct 24 L. (our host) calls me over to her house, and asked me to pay an additional 1500 zar ($100) , for the 2 extra guests, and another $100 dollars for a small wine stain on a white sheet, which ca easily come out. When we refused to pay, she threatened me that she will have me arrested if I don’t pay her the $200.00 extra. So I paid her an additional $200 cash (bear in mind, this was after we were already robbed of most of our cash and valuables).
  
  Tips if you stay here:
  1. get armed security
  2. don’t give it to bullying and extortion for more money.
  3. Do not leave the house to see animals in Kruger, Stay on guard or you will get robbed.
  4. Bring along exterior light fixtures
  5. Bring along hot water
  6. Bring along a Hummer for the off road makeshift lollypop road, it will cut your tires.
