Recently repaired from the Gita Typhoon but excellent service, food and rooms. Walking distance to beach and Apia shopping and restaurants. Would recommend to others

Beautiful garden and excellent location. Staffs are friendly but seemed to be quite clueless and unmotivated. Pricey and greasy food, nothing like what I had expected. On the last night of our stay, two men (suspected staffs as they wore walkie-talkies) tried to get into our room at 4AM in the morning! Had no idea why would they want to break into our room in the middle of the night!!! Lucky we had our safety lock on. But that night was one of our most horrible hotel experiences.

A nice hotel centrally located in the Apia city. Fabulous service, friendly staff, and well maintained garden. However, the ground floor rooms were a bit damp. We could smell the dampness as soon as the door opens. So get a room upstairs if you can.
Taxi fare from the hotel to airport is 65 tala, takes about 45 mins.
There were many giant snails in the garden at night.

Extremely slippery tiled surfaces in all walkways. Lovely rooms, service and food. Shame the shuttle to airport service wasn't provided when promised.

Hotel Lobby and Poolside area is basically all this hotel has going for it. Food was actually pretty good despite the expensive pricing. More of a variety of foods would’ve been good. Friendly but Clueless staff. No structure whatsoever. Outdated rooms on the hotel side. Bedbugs and dustmites. Broken powerpoints, air conditioning, fridges. Housekeeping need guidance. No natural disasters or fire procedures in place. As a Family hotel, you would expect child-friendly activities apart from a swimming pool. This hotel is in need of an upgrade. The poor lady that this hotel is named after must be turning in her grave.

A generally beautiful hotel with a lot of history!

However; it seems run-down in many places, which is surprising as they just did have a huge renovation! Can't see what happened exactly?

    For example:
    - LOTS and lots of mosaic tiles are missing in the pool >> the stairs are lacking them altogether!
    - the cushions of the sun chairs were incredibly dirty >> some even had dirty foot prints on them!
    - floor in pool area in general very dirty

The staff is not as you would expect. Most of them are They highly unmotivated, slow, and the very opposite of hospitable.
With some exceptions, they weren't particularly friendly and most of all: they make you wait for everything or worse, forget about your order/inquiry altogether.

Conclusion: a beautiful hotel with a lot of potential, but in urgent need of improvement... for us the hotel could neither meet the expectations we had in a hotel from a Sheraton brand, nor the expectations considering the prices...

Could not find fault with this beautiful resort. The staff are all wonderful and so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and the accommodation was fabulous! I give the resort 11 out of 10! 😀

The place in itself is beautiful however we have been really disappointed with the service. Although it is all smiles and hellos it seems as though nothing gets done. There were many little things, like asking for band-aids or message pricing and never getting it but the cherry was waiting for almost two hours for a tour which they “had confirmed” 2 days before. The reception seemed to tell us they would call then disappear, about 3 times. Mean while the door man told us he knew and it was canceled and he knew someone that could do it for us. Eventually we spoke to the manager who said he spoke to someone and they were coming to get us. Only to be called 5 minutes later to say there was a mistake and they weren’t coming. They then proceeded to not book our transfer back after we asked at 3 seperate times. Nice place, inefficient service, expensive food.

Loved our stay here lovely service friendly team, gorgeous layout and decor. Loved the story of Aggie Grey. Only downside was my son cut his foot on a loose tile in the pool. This aside we would definitely be back!

Not great for a known brand hotel... Service was poor to average at best. The pool was nice but falling apart...the rooms varied greatly and my air con dropped water on the tiles and I slipped and got stopped by the bed. My shower over bath (not what u expect in an up market hotel) leaked more water on the floor than down the drain. The bed had WAY way to much blankets for a tropical resort.
The food was average at the buffet, the breakfast was the best. Wouldn't book again
Would save some $$ book cheaper it may not be as fancy but more traditional.

5 stars for the food and the very friendly staff! But only 3 stars for the state of the room (tap needs to be mended , damaged bath) but most of all an important cleaning should be done (in the room: toilet not clean upon arrival, used coffee cup just rinsed and put back in cupboard), cushions on restaurant chairs covered in stains, very dirty toilets main doors in the front hall. However we will not hesitate to come back and will recommend this beautiful place very well located in town to our relatives, friends and colleagues.

Popped in for coffee whilst walking along seafront. Charming colonial style cafe and comfortable seats. Coffee and cakes were wonderful. Very pleasant staff too.

Nice hotel, loved the elegant old look of it. Rooms were nice and clean. Stayed for just one night. They also gave us an airport drop that was cheaper than taking a taxi. However the car came late to pick us up but we managed to arrive on time.

Little disorganized. Hotel has nice pool and rooms are comfortable. However, during a recent stay it was clear that the quality of food has gone down since they opened. The staff although very friendly are mostly inattentive to customers and spend more time talking among themselves. I booked and paid for the airport shuttle directly with the hotel, but the staff had failed to notify the shuttle company and as a result I had to debate paying the fare with the driver, who then had to debate it with the hotel all resulting in a half hour delay for the shuttle. Suggest booking the shuttle directly with the company.

Beautiful pool and restaurant area and I loved being able to relax by the pool with food and beverage service. Friendly staff. Only negative was that I found the 3pm check in time to be a little late and the cleanliness of the room wasn't that great.

A Greatly Appreciated Thank You! especially TO KIRK MURRAY & PAI FILISOUNUU...

HOTEL location is centre Apia close to all the shops only a few minutes walk away. LOVED OUR STAY! Best coffee at the 24hour cafe.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the wonderful 14 days in the end of November 2016 my mum and I stayed!!!

It had been 6 years since my mother has been back home in Samoa since her stroke. Also her first time staying in a hotel as she always stays at her house in the village but with her sickness I refused to let her stay at her village as it’s too hot and with her condition I did not want to risk anything happening to her.

Also thank you for the AMAZING surprise 70th Birthday dinner for my mum we celebrated with the FIAFIA group singing happy birthday and the amazing cake Sheraton staff Apia organized. I was blown away and am in awe thank you so much for making my mother feel extra special. The entire staff from morning to night was wishing my mum a happy birthday and I only told reception my mum was like how did they know it was my birthday. :)

My mother randomly got ill two days before flying back home to Sydney Australia her body collapsed due from the heat as we were out visiting family earlier on the day. I was in shock and I dialled reception three times to call an ambulance and then cancelled as she started to look ok. KIRK MURRAY & PAI FILISOUNUU who work at reception/door entrance on duty came straight to my room to assist me, they checked my mum’s temperature, help me move my mum into a comfortable position then onto the wheel chair and rushed us to the local hospital in their OWN PERSONAL CAR as there was no ambulance available. Kirk & Murray never left us they came into the hospital and assisted me, registered my mum in to see a doctor and ensured we got the best. As I am from overseas I didn’t know how the Samoa system worked lucky for me I was blessed with Kirk Murray & Pai Filisounuu. They waited for the all clear and they drove us back to the hotel and were checking in us all the time till we departed. Kirk & Pai didn’t have to do what they did for us they went above and beyond. Thank you for being by my side and helping me in times of need. Words are not enough to express my gratitude I will always remain indebted to you guys. On my next visit to Samoa I will make sure to visit you both.

Your staff were a real credit to you – Bubly greetings, very attentive, polite and everything ran very smoothly. The room was a perfect size for my mother and I. Your waiting staff served the meal very efficiently, and it was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Everyone was well attended to by your cafe staff and they were always on hand to ensure we were always ok. Ordering Taxi and arriving back to hotel the boys where always ready to assit.

I would have no hesitation in using your services again or recommending your hotel. I wish you all the very best for the future." Thank you so much for making my mums surprise 70th birthday holiday one to remember and for the awesome hospitality, kindess, love and support thank you Rose xxx

I would recommend all friends and family to check it out...love the staffs uniform is neat and tidy compare to the resort staffs in mulifanua...amazing hotel to stay its closer to evrything, shops, restaurants, bars + night clubs, church, market, cinema you name it haha. Beautiful.. The food is a little expensive though..LOven the hotel....Thank you Sheraton Hotel and Bungalow for looking after us during our stayed last month (Oct).

Great view of the harbour and well it's comfortable without being luxurious which is what you'd expect (I would think...). Staff were friendly with a good pool to swim in during some very hot days and food was standard fare for a hotel chain.
