  Just to advise everyone that Dr Teremoana Puni is now seeing patients at the Health Specialist Clinic every Thursday. She is a Paediatrician by speciality but is also happy to see General patients as well. Please call 28303 to make an appointment. This will secure your visit with the Doctor for both you and your children.

  Hello, I must apologise for not being in touch sooner but we have been very busy with Specialists from Overseas. We have also has lots of guests here to celebrate the promotion of our owner Dr Ekeroma who I must now remember to call Professor Ekeroma after his elevation at the University of Otago. I can now announce though that we are now broadcasting films into our guest rooms 24/7. So whether the afternoon sun is too hot for you or it's 3am and you can't sleep for Jet-lag just make a cup of tea and relax in bed with a movie. Also keep tuned to our page here as our hotel manager Epi tells me she has some rooms available for this coming month and wants to offer a huge discount for our FB friends.

  We are just installing a new film system that will allow guests to watch films in the comfort of their own room.   The Health Specialist Centre (as part of our social enterprise) has a great pleasure to inform that Teuila McDonald-Pati has been appointed as the nurse practitioner for the Centre. She is NZ trained and has 28 years of comprehensive nursing experience both in NZ and Samoa both in the private and public sector.

  She will be working part-time initially, developing clinical systems and processes, assisting doctors, triaging patients, managing the flow of clinical information to facilitate quality patient care.

  Dr Alec Ekeroma was interviewed three nights ago about the sad events with vaccination on TVNZ's Pacific News by Barbara Dreaver in which he reassured about the safety of vaccines and the undisputed scientific evidence on how they have reduced disease and deaths in populations. The NZ MOH has also reassured with this press release.

  Busy tourism weeks in Samoa. I have to decide whether to book in another hotel or I sleep in Maria’s Pharmacy! And it’s the safest hotel to have a heart attack in! The defibrillator is in full view of all guests checking in. But please don’t try. The night porter has not had training.
