Awesome place, nice and private but been under 35 felt a little out of place there with the vibe.

We spent a wonderful time in this location - a good mix between privacy and comfort : excellent management, friendly and helpful staff , a comfortable faré , a relaxing day spa, a wonderful view and beach restaurant!

Dropped in for dinner one night- food was excellent with large portions. Service was also first class. They also have happy hour at the bar from 5pm to 6 pm. It's worth booking ahead as there are only a small number of tables

Sensational. Perfect setting, great food, but most of all wonderful people.
Faré was immaculate and comfortable, though not flash. looking onto the bay with waves lapping a few metres away. No aircon but the sea breeze was plenty at night in November. Snorkeling from your front door has an abundance of coral and fish. Go at dawn for the best experience.
Doreen is a skilled chef and provided good food and a beautiful smile, every night. The french influence means that food in Vanuatu is better than i was expecting; small things like bread and buns, risen with yeast, freshly baked and smelling (and tasting) divine. Steak done as I asked (blue) - and Santo deserves a good reputation for its beef. Lobster, Fish, snacks, everything was perfect and cooked with one of those beautiful Vanuatu smiles. I put on 3kg this week. thank you Doreen.
The genuine affection and respect in the relationship between Tracey (Manager) and the staff comes through and provides a wonderful ambience. And yet there is this quiet efficiency that means foot cleaning water is changed, farés cleaned, leaves swept, restaurant service provided quicker and quieter than you would expect. certainly not on 'island' time but never intrusive.
Tracey is wealth of local knowledge, anecdotes and advice. She became an old friend rather than the manager. wonderful to just sit down and chat with.
Claudia - so sassy and so capable - I hope to see her managing somewhere one day.nothing too much trouble. everything always calmly under control.
Catherine, Cecilia, Simone, Valentine always smiling, always helpful. genuinely beautiful people, inside and out.
Wisheart, Anton and Cera, keeping the environs clean and tidy, and never hesitating to help us get kayaks or paddleboards, in or out of the water.
Most of all we will remember the welcoming smiles that greeted us everywhere, at Moyyan and across Santo. The fact that we have come away knowing so many names says how much a part of our life everyone became.
    other things:
Samsung tablets were a good idea. i just wish the internet was a bit faster.
bicycles brilliant. cycle to a blue hole and dive in. perfect.
Car hire is expensive but so worth it.
Millenium cave tours are a real experience (but not for the unfit or faint of heart)
Santo is very much at the edge of development and quite expensive. It is still raw in some places, though cultural tourism is painfully underdeveloped - Ni-Vanuatu are a wonderful, beautiful, fascinating people.
If you want cheap, if you want loud, if you want to underpay a local, go to Bali.
But if you have respect, want to see a few dollars make a genuine difference, and still have a sense of wonder, then Vanuatu is for you.
