What a find this place is!! We spent the morning strolling the cocoa trees plantation..up into the caves..even higher to the platform overlooking the island below. The food and hospitality is beyond good. It was fabulous!! Needless to say we overindulged but tried to burn off a few calories by diving off the jetty. A day that could not get any better!! Wonderful.😃

Aore Freshwater Plantation is something not to be missed in Lunganville! We did not know what to expect and we had such a pleasant surprise!! It was the perfect way to end our holiday in Vanuatu.

Maria and her husband did an amazing job building/renovating and maintaining the place.

The tour is child friendly and lasts for about 2 hours. You will enjoy a walk around local trees, fruits and vegetables with a great guide, and see a beautiful cave.
After the tour, we finished at the restaurant with the best food we had the pleasure to have in Vanuatu: all products are fresh from the plantation, garden and farm. The menu was made by Maria in conjunction with a local chef, and the result is spectacular! It is the only place in Espiritu Santo where we could find local cuisine with fresh products. The duck risotto is not to be missed, and the chocolate mousse made out of the plantation's cocoa beans was the best mousse I have ever tasted. And prices are very reasonable!

You can also relax by the beach or snorkel after your meal, and the boat man will pick you up and bring you back at the time you wish.

Everyone at Aore Plantation is very welcoming and helpful, especially the owner Maria. We couldn't have found a better way to end our stay in Vanuatu!

We went there for the bat cave. Anyone into bats will love this place. Thousands of bats, good access to the cave, bugs & guano underfoot (!!), bats on the walls and ground for close inspection, rampant humidity and - omg, the stench!! Fantastic. I've been to many bat caves around the world - this undiscovered gem is up with the best. Friendly and accommodating staff.
