  While Lai's homestay is well appointed and he is a lovely man, we were sad to see that he keeps several dogs and puppies in very cruel conditions as dog meat. I personally did not feel comfortable staying there, so we left. I want to be clear - as an accommodation, it is fine. It is simply up to you whether the mistreatment of the animals at the homestay is offensive or not.

  Great place to stay in a really nice part of tam coc. Xuan and his family are amazing! Would go again!

  Amazing place about 1km from the Tam Coc boat ride. The owner, Xuan Lai is so great! He helped us with where to go, booked our overnight bus and cooked us 2 delicious homemade dinners. The accommodations were great. We got a good sized private room with an ensuite. Very clean and modern. Would recommend to anyone!
