  The hotel was nice. We got a big nice room w balcony. Hotel well situated. Room service was nonexistent. Towels not changed, shampoo ran out but not given new if not asked for it. The meals provided by tour company were abundant, but very simple. Always the same foods. In general the experience was ok!

  We stayed here as part of a tour. I'm sure it was very cheap, but this was the dirtiest place we stayed. The pillows smelled horrible. It's good for backpackers, but I'm sure there are better places.

  Whatever you do, don't stay in the dorm rooms, or any of the rooms on the lower floor. Ask to see the rooms beforehand and spend the extra on a nicer room.
  
  Pros of this hostel:

  •Hot shower
  •Free breakfast until 10am
  
  Cons:
  I'm not sure where to begin. I've been traveling for a long time and have stayed in some not so nice places, but this was by far the worst place I stayed. I stayed in a women's dorm room on the first level, and everything in the room was damp. The bed, sheets, and pillows were all damp, and eventually my clothes started to feel damp too. There's no air conditioning, but they have a fan. All the walls and furniture look like they're in dire need of a scrub down, and many things in the bathroom were broken. The door to the bathroom was hard to close, and the bottom of the wooden door had completely rotted out. Wifi did not reach my room either. Needless to say, my friend and I ended up forfeiting our money and checking out after two hours because we couldn't stand the room. I'm not a picky person so I felt awful leaving so early, but it was not a good experience.

  All started well, with a friendly greeting and a nice lobby but went downhill quickly. The rooms on the lower floors suffer from extreme damp to the point in which our clothes started to become soggy and the beds would show signs of damp. Having been told by a friend that their room was worse we didn't complain. Breakfasts are good, eggs or pancakes are available.
  
  After going out on an all day tour we came back to find the medicine on my bed had gone missing. I reported it and was subsequently accused/blamed for its vanishing act, having not made any accusations myself. I am quite confident it was all a misunderstanding with it having been thrown out as trash potentially.
  
  With no resolution being achieved that evening I was told to present my quote from the clinic and we could resolve the issue in the morning. Pretty quickly it became clear that the bridges had been burnt. The man on reception refused to make eye or even talk to me, instead of buying the medicine from the clinic where I had acquired the quote from, he jumped on his motorbike and went elsewhere in search of cheaper medication, leaving me waiting in the lobby with little explanation.
  
  What should have been resolved quite easily with very little worry or stress, ended up becoming a much bigger issue. The complaint management and damp issues are what's holding this place back, I am sorry we ended up putting with such distaste for each other.
