St. Francis beach the best snorkeling for variety of fish and coral. Be careful of going out on the right side when the tide is going out. Makes a long swim back.
Gorgeous island, such beautiful beaches. Still some devastated areas, but you can also find great shops and eateries. There is a beautiful synagogue there, very welcoming.
National Park covers most of St. John, so it is difficult to give a concise review. However, there is a lot to see here and the park covers everything from hiking trails and ruins, to beaches and coral.
The park is simply stunning and the natural beauty of the island is apparent almost anywhere you go.
What an incredible place! The pictures do not do it justice! If you find yourself in the area (on Saint Thomas) then catch a water taxi over to Saint John and head to Trunk Bay! You will not regret it!! I have been to beaches in Thailand, Belize and Australia and this beach is up there with the best of them! Bring some snorkel gear if you go and stick to the rocks, you’ll see a ton of fish! 😊👍
No place more beautiful! Will need some time to recover after Irma and Maria, but so amazing. Well maintained and lots of things to do and see. Be sure to check out Annaberg ruins, trunk bay and cinnamon bay.
Beautiful islands with so many things to do. If like watersports your in right place. The hiking is first glass and the Food is out of this world. Friendly people and the best beaches.
Amazingly beautiful place. Great view, fantastic beaches, crystal clear water, very friendly, helpful people, great restaurants, relaxed atmosphere. One suggestion: be careful if you decide to drive. Road conditions and manners are sometimes . well . unusual.
Amazing Crystal blue waters , hot sunny days. Several stops were made between st Thomas and st John's. We enjoyed both islands. St John's was much quieter and laid back than St Thomas . We enjoyed the shopping and touristy stuff at St Thomas. Will definitely be back!
The folks at our Park service have done a great job clearing trails and reopening the park after the hurricanes. They should be commended for their service so that we all can enjoy this national treasure. Please come visit.
Family loved the boat ride, crystal clear water, and sea life with tons of fish and sand dollars. Snorkeling, celebrity houses, and calm waters were amazing with stunning views winding to the national park in June.
It's great you can also go there for pictures and picnics
Absolutely beautiful place to live or visit. It was 81 degrees and we were from NC in mid winter!
Trunk Bay is onee of the best beaches I've ever been to. Warm clear water and sugar white sand. Excellent facilities and rental of snorcle gear and beach chairs. Amazing!
Can't wait until everything is cleaned up and open again. What a beautiful place.
Snorkel along the shores and see nurse shark, coral, zebra fish, like, snapper, hawkbill turtles and more. Multimillion dollar estates sprawl across the mountainside. Surreal juxtapositions
This is an awesome national park. My wife and I visited St. Thomas for our honeymoon, and we made sure to go over to St. John to see the park. We enjoy hiking, so we only went as far as we could from the visitor's center in Cruz Bay.
From there, you can take a nice hike to Honeymoon Beach. There are great views of St. Thomas and Cruz Bay along the way. On the short hike, we saw a hermit crab, wasps, and hundreds of lizards. Be sure to bring plenty of bug spray -- there are mosquitoes everywhere. Although the hike looks short on the map, it can be quite difficult if you don't prepare for the heat and humidity.
When you get to Honeymoon Beach, you can rent snorkels, goggles, beach towels, etc. There are plenty of creatures to see on the beach there too, so be sure to get in the water!
We were at Trunk Bay Beach and and it was absolutely amazing. The clear blue waters were beautiful, the boat ride from St. Thomas to St. John was fun and informative as well as scenic. Perfect for snorkeling. Very peaceful
We actually just rode through the park as a part of an island tour. It's absolutely gorgeous! The historic ruins of the Annenberg Sugar Mill were interesting and picturesque, with poignant insight to the island's history of slavery. Farther along the drive, we saw a deer and we had a close encounter with a pack of wild donkeys who exercised their right of way as they crossed the road! It was also apparent from the heavy parking at the many beach access points that the beautiful beaches are very popular.
