  Excellent experience here. While some of the other shops cater more to the scuba diver, St. John Beach Bum is more focused on the snorkeler and beach goer, with a lot of good advice and products. The other bonus is they are right next to the ferry dock. We recommend them highly.

  We went to this place as soon as we got off the boat. I forget the name of the lady we spoke with but she was incredibly kind (she had recently adopted a dog) and rented us the snorkel gear we needed and gave us a rundown on the good snorkel spots.
  
  One mistake we made was relying on the taxis on the island instead of renting a jeep just outside of this store. We HIGHLY recommend renting a jeep - the taxis only hit the beaches/spots that they really need to hit on their regular route.
