We came In the later afternoon just before the cruise ship passengers were getting ready to leave. We had no problem finding a nice shady spot for the four of us. Decent snorkeling just off shore. The beach is a little steeper incline to the water. It has beautiful views of the surround islands. It was breezy, but that didn't effect our time there. We left around 5 and the beach was already pretty empty.
AMAZING!!!!! We went here for our honeymoon and can't say enough about this wonderful property! Right on the beach, our condo had a sliding door that opened up to an incredible view of St John and the British Virgin Islands. Sunrise was so beautiful to wake up to! The staff here was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the island and attractions. A few days we were lazy & just hung at the small bar next to the kayak rentals. Top notch!
We liked it, but you have to be pretty able bodied right now. The hurricane damaged the restaurant and beach bar. No breakfast, but you can go into Red Hook to Moe's Market and get some breakfast stuff to eat in your room. We did lunch ( hamburgers, fish tacos, BLTs, hot dogs, etc. ) at the beach bar they've set up under tents at the west end. And for dinner we went up to Slice VI at Sapphire Villages, absolutely delicious daily specials!
We loved our stay. Everyone is super nice. Minor maintenance issues but perfectly understandable given the recovery. Drinks and food at the beach bar are fantastic! The Slice restaurant is fabulous! We ate there several times.
We absolutely loved staying in this condo resort. The unit we rented is beautiful and had everything we needed. It’s right in front of the beautiful beach and the view is terrific. I agree with some of the other reviews, there’s a very damaged tennis court and a building in very bad shape right by the pool. I do understand the island went through tough times during the 2 hurricanes. All in all, we had an amazing time. Unit B308 is where we stayed so if your looking for a nice 2 bed 2 bath this is the place.
For our vacation, my family stayed in an updated unit with an amazing open water view! Unforgettable. The structure is built strong like a fort (or a tank, whichever you prefer). It has friendly security manning the gate. My main complaint would be the dirt parking lot that has numerous and massive potholes that will swallow your car, and the abandoned, cracked up tennis courts overrun by weeds and other brush.. plus the large area of "wasteland" adjacent. I didn't let this bother me though; just saying because that takes away a star. The beach here is gorgeous, and the snorkeling outstanding! Great staff guy on the beach as well. I recommend this resort.. We would visit again :)
Our unit has a great view and is very quiet. However it is poorly maintained and not clean. The cabinet doors are broken, the mattress is old and extremely uncomfortable, there are multiple thing such as lights, WiFi, safe and stove that doesn't work. I would never stay here again
Owner was quick to respond with questions and concerns. Unit was clean and everything was in great working order. Best location ever!
This place is very beautiful and the people are friendly. Wish we had come before the hurricanes, all the facilities were not open, but they have done a good job in a short amount of time getting things up and going again.
Such a wonderful experience! We would definitely stay there again!
Love this place so much we bought one! Come visit and rent it! Look up the captain and the mermaid!
Sad to see what happened to this once beautiful beach. Hurricane damage is extensive. It has a long way to go to get back to what it once was.
One of the most beutiful beaches in St. Thomas. We can see two of the British Virgin Islands like Tortolo and St. Jon's US as well. The waters are turquoise and the people from the bar are nice!
Great place to stay overlooking Sapphire Beach. It's close to everything including the Harbor where you can catch the ferry's to BVI and nearby islands. Highly recommend..
The resort is a bit dated, but has an excellent beach front. Relatively calm waters, great cross breeze and nice natural shade from the trees. A duck family calls the beach home, they are gentle and not intrusive...just cute to watch.
