The mall is hit or miss. I've always hated the parking rules. They will give tickets to any other person, but if the owner of a shop wants to park at a meter all day, that's okay. I feel like those spots should be reserved for customers. Not cool! Not to mention, there's a parking garage 40 ft away. Anyway, there is less variety than there used to be in terms of actual shopping. Many good stores have left a moved to locations with cheaper rent. The only good thing about the mall now is that it's pet friendly. The food is good too, I suppose!
Zona is awesome. An outdoor mall with all the stores you could need and some amazing food choices too!! A great time but bundle up if its cold cause its all outside.
Cold day makes this place a little hard to navigate. Great in nice weather. Lots of options to shop. Need to plan on all day to get to it all. Would be nice if there were more entertainment options. Some times need to break from shopping, and relax. Seating and beverages would be nice.
A plaza experience in the suburbs. Lots of great restaurants to choose from and lots of trendy stores. When the weather is nice it's a good place to wander around. There are green areas and benches set up for relaxing. They also hosdt many events throughout the year.
Wow, I want to move North to live near Zona Rosa!!! Very quaint, inviting, sweet feel to this outdoor mall. You feel as though you've stepped into a Hollywood prop town it's so unintimidating. The quality of shops and entertainment is top tier. It's extremely easy to navigate with plenty of relatively close parking as compared to a traditional mall. It fosters a spirit of togetherness and community, and feels very safe as well. Will be going back soon.
Nice shopping area. Wish there were a few newer options/variety of stores.
Only downfall is parking is meters. And the max you can do is an hour. So if you eat there you usually gotta run out during your meal to re-up the meter.
Zona Rosa has some pretty great stores and restaurants. It is ALWAYS kept clean. I've never felt unsafe there. There's live music and festivals in the Summer in the big open space across from The Grove and the old crowns and giant Christmas tree are something to see during the holidays!!
Zona Rosa is probably one of my favorite places to shop. The outdoor feel is great and I love it during the spring and fall. The winter and summer months make me long for an indoor place but they definitely make it worth the trip.
I was in from out of town and just staying one night at an airport hotel. I ran across Zona Rose Town Center and it's a really quick drive from the airport on the North side of KC. It's a cute spot to grab a bite to eat and do some shopping. There are a lot of great stores - parking was SUPER easy and there were great restaurants everywhere. There was also a live band playing in the "town square" area - and it was great. Very fun atmosphere.
Zona Rosa offers convenient shopping at decently affordable prices with many restaurant options available within the area. It is also a great place for a walk with loved ones. It has a fountain the kids can play in during the summer time with the hot temperatures. Zona Rosa also offers concerts during the summer time months where visitors can come and enjoy great music and live entertainment.
What can I say This is one of the best Northland improvements ever done. Great shops, great food options and a great place to spend a day walking around outside. They also have great festivals and craft fairs.
Nice place. Good restaurants and shopping.
The pro/con about this place is the streets within the shopping area and the walking distance to some of the stores.
Having to cross busy streets all the time just to walk through is a bit dangerous and keeps me on my toes watching my kids, but being able to drive through and pick someone up right where they are instead of them walking all the way to the parking lot (like at the Legends) is nice.
Some of the stores are much more "satellite" than I'd prefer for walking. There's plenty of parking garage space, too.
Lots of retail outlets and restaurants. There is a good nightlife eating atmosphere, but no theatres or facilities for larger events. There is usually accessible parking either in the parking garage or behind the stores/restaurants with rear entry availability. There is a lot of walking traffic. The street traffic is usually very congested.
It's a clean friendly shopping and dining area I recommend 54th street since it's my favorite place. Then Bravos Italian steak house is also good. They have bands on weekends and it's free. You'll have a fun time.
