The Zicklin Investment Club, or ZIC, is the premier graduate finance organization at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. ZIC is primarily geared toward students who are seeking careers in finance related to the capital markets. The club seeks to represent the broad and diverse interests of Zicklin MBA and MS students and also serves as the student chapter of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).
ZIC’s mission is to supplement the academic knowledge that students acquire in class with networking opportunities, site visits, and other experiences that expose them to the vast and fast-paced market-driven engine of New York City. ZIC also encourages its members to apply the foundational principles of financial analysis to become more disciplined and successful in their own pursuits. Members regularly perform their own investment research and present it to the club, creating a rich forum for critical thinking and the testing of theses and assumptions.
Since it was founded in 2010 (under the name FSASVA), ZIC has grown immensely and recruited nearly 1,000 total members. With new leadership in place for the 2014/15 academic year, the club seeks to get even more students to attend its events. For even more information about ZIC, please see the list of past events.
