Comfortable space with good tapas. Expect crowds and long waits during busy times. We had a very enjoyable dinner here and look forward to returning. The wine list is extensive with some great choices of Spanish reds.
Always great food and service -- where I take out-of-town guests. Wide variety of veg, seafood and meat small plates; some can be ordered in large. Much locally grown, and a changing fresh daily menu. Huge wine list and delicious sangria. Unique decor. Live jazz combo on weekends. Reservations highly recommended.
Our family of four tried about 9 different tappas selections. Wow! We were blown away by these amazing dishes. The octopus was our favorite!!the arugula salad was sinfully healthy and the service was swift and friendly!
Well done folks!!
Two stars. 4 for food, 4 for table service but ONE for Hostess Service. We had a reservation for 4. We arrived 5 minutes early, but our table was "still occupied". While we watched, they seated a 3 top (which seats 4) and ANOTHER 4 top. Then, after 20 minutes our table was ready. I was pissed off for the first half of the dinner and did not enjoy the food. Our table server was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable of the food, and very accommodating to our friend w/ celiac. It felt a bit pricey, but what I remember of the food was above average. Won't go back.
I loved the food and the staff. The interior was cool to see. But the food was so good. I loved the scallops, quail, my wife loved the gnocchi salads and a few others. I hope they are around a long time. On my next trip to Asheville I will return.
Large assortment of tapas and an extensive wine selection. My group of 10 were quite impressed. The vegetarian taco soup was delicious.
This local is pretty disappointed. Years and years ago Zambra was great. It had actual Spanish tapas, imagine that. Tonight, we spent $50 on a frozen baby corn cob with some mayo, a frozen fried pork egg roll, and some under done chicken, and having to explain to a bartender what a skinny margarita is. We both left starving. The online menu included Spanish tacos and items with some Latin flare. The actual menu was very confused. Is it Asian inspired? Why are we mixing soy sauce and queso fresco? Very disappointed. Won't return. Total tourist joint now.
We visited Zambra during a food tour today and everything was terrific. My husband noticed an item on their menu from the day before and they willingly made an exception and made it for him for dinner. Absolutely recommend this place! Farm to table deliciousness.
Excellent service and food. This place takes us out of our comfort zone and challenges us to try different foods. We have never been disappointed. The. Servers are superb at recommending things to try too.
I always love the experience and the food here. You need to make reservations most of the time, but it's always worth it, and it's one of the best romantic dinners in town. My favorites are the pork spring rolls and the chimichanga.
My partner took me here for my birthday. We had a great time - the food and service were both incredible, totally top notch. The only disappointing part was that my partner reserved a private room (at the hostess's suggestion) as it was not only my birthday but our first time out without our new baby but when we got there they tried to seat us in the private area which was jammed w other people. We said no thanks as that was the opposite of what we wanted and sat in the regular dining area. Not sure what happened there, but other than that had a wonderful experience!
We love sharing food and experiences. Zambra was the perfect dinner stop for that. All the food was even better than we expected. The wine selection is enough to make you come back over and over again. The decor and lighting are curated and successful to the overall experience.
Eclectic interior decor that's rich and lush. Daily changing menu that's never let me down. Deep wine list. Excellent for a date, particularly if you sit in one of the cozy couch like back booths. There are pillows.
