Nice library
Agree that financial aid department not all of them but definitely rude.
Very confusing process with one department telling you something and referring you to another department that tells you different information and everything takes several visits to clear up.
Don't know why there are teachers except to make assignments because everything is online.
Very good College very helpful and friendly staff. Although this is a great place to earn an associates degree, one should really check job openings, availability and demands before enrolling. I made the mistake of not doing so, earned my degree and Im still not in the profession I trained for 10 years later.
My brother goes to this school and each time I've gone down to visit the people are pretty friendly. They are very sports oriented and you're part of a community family if you live down here. The majority of the city goes to this college so if you know people at the college, you practically know everyone in the city. Very nice community gym next door as well. Overall, this is a good southern community college.
Where should I begin? The people in the financial aid office are rude! I had trouble going to school continuously because I had problems with money. I was independent at 19 years old but they offered no suggestions on what to do to prove that I was independent. They were condescending, and cut me off while I was talking. It took me 5 years to get a 2 year degree because of this. The sad this is that I was a good student with a 4.0 GPA.
What also contributed to taking so long in getting my degree was the advisers! They are such jokes! I was told in spring of 2013 that if I took one more class in the summer and applied for summer graduation I could get my degree. I got my adviser to sign off on it and applied for graduation - but AFTER THE SUMMER - I was told that there was another class I needed to take. Apparently something had changed in the 5 years while I was there and I had to take a class I didn't know about.
The bottom line is: this is a community college and it has a bunch of jokes for employees!
