I've been a member here for about a year now. The facilities are well maintained and clean. Great workout equipment. Food and drink here is awesome. I would highly recommend Woodside to anyone who is considering joining.
I have been a member of Woodside for about a little over a year now. This is the best fitness club I have been a member of. The community (Members & Woodside Employees alike) are extremely friendly. The environment is very relaxing and pleasant. I'm obsessed with their spa center which has a Sauna, Steam Room, Hot tub & my personal favorite: Cold Plunge Tub. Even though this is considered a Tennis Club, one does not have to even play tennis to enjoy all the eclectic amenities, services and numerous activities that Woodside has to offer. If you are considering joining, I would highly recommend Woodside to anyone.
Have been a member, off and on, having moved out of town on several occasions, for over 20 yearsStruggled for many years with run down facilities and terrible staffHowever, for the last 2 years, the facility is nicer than it has ever been, the facilities are clean, a lot of new equipment , and the food is now consistently delicious. Regardless of how nice everything may be, the most pleasing part of the facility is the staffFrom the moment you walk in the door, the front desk staff is always cheerful and friendly. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't try to help, have a ready smile, and go out of their way to make the time at Woodside a great experienceI have sent numerous people over to join and all have remarked how knowledgeable, pleasant and professional Tara has been to view the club.great experience, all aspects of the facility.,
Truly a great gym. Coming from the fitness industry they have everything you need and then some. The average age is around 35 and appears to be a great place to network and meet like minded people. Their pool alone is worth joining in the summer.
Best place ever. It gives me a similar vibe to lifetime fitness in the sense you have a million free classes, free weights, machines, hot tub, saunas, cafe, etc. BUT more chill. After going there for just a month i began to recognise faces. Everyone is friendly and you can easily make friends here. Ive been going here for a while now and i do not regret it. The price is truly worth it. The outdoor pools in the summer are heavenly. I think if I leave KC the most heart breaking part will be parting with Woodside.
I have belonged to this gym for 6 years. It is the nicest gym in the area with the most amenities. It is also pricier. The join fee is what turns most people away, but it also means you can use the equipment you want even during peak times. You can also avoid New year's resolutioners. If you have the money, the massage therapy and the personal training is top notch. In the summer, the adults only pool feels like a resort with a full bar and waitstaff. The included yoga classes are good as well.
Horribly managed staff, and random charges will show up on your account without warning. Also if you move for work or any personal reason out of state you will be required to pay an astronomical cancellation fee. If you are active duty military definitely avoid this place at all costs especially if you move frequently. Gym also floods and then smells moldy and gross so you are paying for poorly managed facilities too.
This is may favorite health club. With so many amenities I use it more often. I adore my trainer Sara Morgan. She have improved my quality of life.
Greatly improved club since my last review. I throughly enjoy my membership.
Clean club. Great location. Nice staff. Moderately priced membership.
Men's locker room well maintained and always clean. There is a limited number of free half lockers making it difficult to find a free locker during the busy hours. The full and half locker rentals are moderately priced, paid for on a yearly bases, (may soon go to a monthly payment plan).
The equipment is well maintained and always in working condition.
The club is an excellent tennis club.
The outdoor pools are in impeccable condition and very popular during the summer weather, (probably a major draw to the club).
The food/drink possibilities are limited, but healthy (except for the alcohol drinks).
The indoor pool is very small, not large enough for exercise swimming when it's winter outside. The inside pool appears to satisfy the members who use it.
The workout classes I've seen appear to be well attended and professionally taught.
The membership manager, Kevin is well versed about the club. He is a good asset to the club.
The club has an exciting expansion future. I'm looking forward to the new additions.
I'm very impressed in the changes the club has made in the last year.
What things would I like improved?
•Better locker, lock technology
•More free lockers
•Change locker fees to monthly charge (like the membership charges)
I am definitely signing up for another year.
Very cool place with awesome amenities!
Best health club in KC. The pool is beyond aproach for anything in the midwest
I have gone to this club a few times as a guest. It is fun to hang out in the pool on Thursdays in the summer. The price is steep (about $90/month) which is why I have not joined myself. Everything is clean.
Impressed! There is no competitor with these services in this price range. Woodside has over 100 group fitness classes, personal training services, spa services, tennis academies and events and social events like the annual white party. Food, drinks, bar are all excellent. They are currently undergoing a full facility upgrade in conjunction with the Woodside Village development project. More great things to come!
Great availability of high end equipment and a lot of classes. Most gyms have some classes, Woodside has them all, and many times per day making it easy and convenient to work around a busy schedule.
The great place to work out and some of the best tennis instructors in the entire country
I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at Woodside so far. Great personal trainers, and you can't beat the group fitness classes. There are so many options and times. Expensive, but worth the price in my opinion.
