    A 5 Star, 1 Star review:
I promised the barber here a "5 star" review. To be clear, this is a 1-Star review, enumerated with stars. But this is still only gets 1 star as a rating. So here are those 5 points:
*1 Taking for granted that I identify as a Black woman. Although I love black people, women, and 90's culture I wasn't born a black woman, don't identify as black or female, nor do I wish to partake in 90's culture in a long-term way. I dress in a distinctly masculine fashion and try to keep in line with reasonably recent, common styles that don't contrast with my appearance. So why the Barber took it upon him/her/themself to give me a hair style that is born of African American 90's subculture is not very clear. This is especially puzzling since I had asked for a very specific, common haircut that I had once before with the very same barber, and this person had said they remembered me and promised the same haircut again.
*2 I asked for a fade. I was given 2 very different lengths with no fade whatsoever.
*3 One side of my head was cut a noticeably length than the other. Why, I'm not sure but if I was being used as practice, they could have made things a bit easier by telling me things would be fixed at some point.
*4 The barber decided to switch to another person half-way through the haircut. Why, I'm not quite sure, but I would guess it was because I had the nerve to ask why I was being given a totally different haircut than what I asked for. Because that's when they switched. This appeared to be taken with great offense. I asked in the most tactful way possible but I guess it must be the wrong way to go about things in this salon.
*5 After getting frustrated after an hour of confusion, I asked if I could leave. Though I had a voucher, I was asked to pay full price. I asked if I could finish the haircut myself, and they let me do it. To be very honest, I did a much better job than the barber did. I just wanted to look half decent so not to attract too much attention until I could get it fixed. I needed this haircut for job training and employment, so it's really hard to try to resolve this on my own, since even a buzzcut is $50 in San Francisco. In the meantime, I have to wait until I have enough money to make this look half way respectible.

For the Womack Salon Academy, I would appreciate it very much if you could get in touch so I can remove this review. I would also appreciate it if you could reimburse me the $50 to $75 it will take to fix this.

You get free voucher Tuesday 9:30am at Everyday Connect 1031 Franklin Street.
Then you bring the voucher to Womack's at 11AM. I walked right in. I was the first customer of the day. I met Womack's daughter and nephew. They were very friendly. The daughter shampooed my hair throughly. Towel dried. Then nephew Scott set to work on my head with scissors and clippers. Scott put on a Robin Williams video to lighten the mood. Two of my friends popped in suddenly and the place livened up with conversation. Scott told me about every strip club in San Francisco as he whittled away on my coif. We both shared hilarious anecdotes. Two more barbers arrived to take care of my friends just in time. We all walked out with professional cuts that cost us nothing but the trip on Muni. Thank you Womack's for everything you do for the community. I'll be back in a month or two.

It was fantastic, just as good as if it was my regular hair stylist. He was professional and very detailed oriented, a great job and a real nice guy. Thank you Womack Salon
