Great park with lots of things to do. The camp ground is okay - I would like it better if there was more shade and the bathrooms were cleaner. Bathrooms outside of the campground are acceptable.

Some of my family rented a spot on the campground. It's very clean and inviting. RV's everywhere and meeting new people. Its a great weekend getaway

The weather did not cooperate, but staff as encountered were polite and helpful. Grounds are well kept.
We have been back several times to counter the bad weather on our first trip. This is a great park! Horses, lake, boats, fishing, etc. Something for everyone. There is still more we need to do.response / report this review -

Purchase a yearly pass for Hamilton county parks and receive coupons to redeem at the park. There are plenty of trails to walk, a boathouse to rent paddle boats, row boats, and motor boats. There's a splash pad in the warmer months and a nice sized playground with a small section dedicated to younger children. Great place to go for a walk or run.

I am rating based off going to the creepy campout. Based on that, it is great. Tent camping or rent a small cabin. Trick or treat to all the campsites. The people at the campsites have haunted houses and do a great job! What could be better than trick or treating inthe woods at night! Lake with rental boats during daystorytellinggreat family outing!

A great place to take the whole family to walk and exercise. The kids have a wonderful water play area and you can rent canoes and paddle boats. And you can rent or bring your own canoe and or kayak. The fishing is good the bass are large it is a catch-and-release only bass Lake tho.

The campgrounds were very nice. They were clean, well taken care of, and had all the amenities you could want. The only downside was there are no covers over the fire pits. If it rains like it did while we were there, there is nothing to protect you from getting wet. We were trying to figure out how to cook and eat while it was pouring out. Our fire was soaked and the picnic table we were using was completely wet. Other than that the campgrounds were great. When doing research on this place it seemed like there would be so much to do as far as activities go. YOU CANNOT SWIM here, there is NO BEACH, there is NO LAKE VIEW. I booked a cabin on "the lake", you literally cannot see if from the lake side or reach the lake from lake side. The brush is too thick and there is no entry to the lake. This lake is a sewage/ reservoir not an actual lake. It's very misleading.

A park right inside the city but it feels like you are away from everything. Beautiful lake and paved trails make this location a hidden treasure. A one time annual fee of 10 dollars get you in to all the Hamilton county parks including Winton woods.
East trail is 1.6 miles in a loop but you can also try the West trail which is less than 1 mile but it doesn't loop. Trails are shared among walking/running traffic along with bicyclist. There are couple other trails in the West side of the park (not paved) but they are not difficult. You can bring your pets as well. Park is well maintained. Park also have designated picnic spots as well and a camping area. A peaceful place to get away from your busy schedule.response / report this review -

This park is supposed to save and care for wildlife. But it's all a lie. The other day there was a turtle crossing winton. There was a nice girl that tried to stop traffic to save the turtle. I tried to take responsibility by informing the park ticket booth man that there is a turtle that needs to be saved. the man said okay ill take care of it. ill call someone to help. the next day the poor turtle was DEAD!!! The turtle was NOT saved and the park took no responsibility. How does the park save wildlife? The turtle died because no one took responsibility! the park employees do nothing to prevent this issue!

This is a great park with great paths to walk. You won't find much in the way of traditional hiking, but there are many bike paths as well as horse paths to travel. In addition, the lake is beautiful and you can rent paddle boats and the like.
Like most of the Hamilton county parks, it is a nice place if you want to get a quick walk in nature.response / report this review -

I loved this park. We went hiking here a couple weeks ago on a Saturday morning and we were in agreement that is was an awesome park. Well kept, nice trails, and the park ranger we stopped and talked to was really nice and helpful. I was surprised the wildlife that is flourishing at Winton Woods. We seen horses, beavers, squirrels, frogs, lots of really neat birds and fish. It would be great place to bring the kids to play or learn abolition wildlife. It really doesn't feel like you're in the city once you step out of the car here. I would like to return and rent a kayak. That will be my goal next time I return!

I love the kingfisher and old oaks trails. One could easily do a longer day hike here, but it's better for a 1-2 mile stroll. Kayaking is worth the money, and if you head right after the docks, under Winton Rd, and continue in that direction you have a good chance of seeing water birds like great blue herons.
